Donald Trump has not won 50% of the vote in any state that has had a primary so far. In every case, the majority of the voters has said they want someone who isn't him. I'd have to check to be sure, but I believe the polls are showing that this is the case in all the states that have not yet had primaries.

Now, these votes have only been Republicans, or where possible, those Democrats and Independents who choose to vote in the Republican primary, which are a very small percentage of those groups.

In addition, there are also people in states which have already voted who no longer feel favorably toward him.

So there's nothing stupid about saying that more people dislike him than like him, and his numbers don't in any way contradict it.
