Trump says foreign college graduates should automatically get green cards

Because the unemployment rate went down.
We have more jobs than we did when he took over from Obama.
The UE rate was 4.7% on Nov 2016, and is currently 3.9%
Obama had a high of 10% after congress and the fed tanked the economy.
It was much higher, but UE is only counting people who are looking for work, not long-term unemployed.

This is where the labor participation rate comes into play. Obama's policies dropped the labor participation rate which dropped from 66% to 62.4%.
Trump had the LPR going up until COVID hit and it dropped to 60.1%.
Right now it's at 62.5%

He told you that was why?

When did you ask him?

Again, you don't seem to grasp the difference between legal and illegal immigration.

According to who? Because you say so?

No, it isn't.

"I do promise," Trump said. "But I happen to agree, otherwise I wouldn't promise... You graduate from a college, I think you should get automatically as part of your diploma a green card to be able to stay in this country and that includes junior colleges too."
You conveniently left this part out...

"Asked for comment, the Trump campaign said in a statement that only after "the most aggressive vetting process in U.S. history" would "the most skilled graduates who can make significant contributions to America" be able to stay.

So yeah, highly skilled and vetted...not Lesbian Studies and Basketweaving.

Either you've been duped by leftwing media, or you are intentionally attempting to dupe us.

While I understand that Trump wants to favor "smart" legal immigrants over those who are illegal and a financial drain on our society, we have to accept the fact that there actually are "smart" terrorists and those who are against America, coming here for an education. I'm not fond of this idea because of this. Our enemies already have many in place infiltrating our colleges so this would only increase this.
I am against letting in smart terrorists. Or dumb ones. That eliminates a very small group of people.

Bad idea: every jihadist who conducted a lethal attack inside the United States since 9/11 was a citizen or legal resident except one who was in the United States as part of the U.S.-Saudi military training partnership. Some have graduated from U.S. colleges and most legal residents with green cards.
Oh, it's a bad idea because you gave a reason that it hasn't prevented attacks, why it actually would not affect anyone?

Too much fear porn for you

I didn't conveniently leave anything out. They came out with that statement AFTER the interview and his remarks went viral on social media and he started getting criticized by some of his supporters who actually exhibited some independent thought.

So which is it? Is it all two year and four year graduates or is after "the most aggressive vetting process in U.S. history" (which you know is bullshit)? If that's the latter, why not say that in the first place as opposed to waiting until there's an uproar.

Furthermore, why has he changed his position from before? This is what he campaigned on in 2016

During his 2017-2021 presidency, Trump's administration took steps aimed at curbing U.S. companies' use of skilled foreign workers on H-1B visas, a key visa option for international students seeking to remain in the United States.

What changed?

Right, he had to walk it back to appease his white nationalist base.

An H-1B visa is not a green card.

It only takes a small group of terrorists to wreck havoc. I am also against letting in ALL illegals and even legals who are a financial drain on our society.
