Trump says Medal of Freedom is better than the Medal of Honor

Paraphrasing Trump, the DEMS have been lying about what he's said ever since he came down the escalator.

Look at the actual quotes, and it's almost always different from what DEMS say he said.

LOL Let's put it simply, is it BETTER to accompany your dad to the WH to see him get the Medal or Freedom or to go to the WH to get his the Medal of Honor becasue he was blown up in a war? Which is BETTER?

That does not make one medal much better than the other, which is what your god said

Trump has a way of screwing up what he's trying to say and DEMS are taking advantage of that to say he said something he definitely didn't mean.
That gets countries into wars. So you want someone in the wh incapable of communicating. Duly noted.

Trump said he thought the Presidential Medal of Freedom was better than the Congressional Medal of Honor.

He says vets are "suckers" and "losers."

He vilified John McCain.

No vet in good standing will vote for him.

Just add it to the list….

Medal of Freedom is better than the Medal of Honor
POWs are not heroes
Military who retire during wartime are cowards
Crippled Veterans should not be in parades because they make people uncomfortable

Paraphrasing that great MAGA patriot: "Presidential Medal of Freedom Equivalent to Congressional Medal of Honor Actually Much Better Because Recipients Not Dead or Hit By Bullets"

The Presidential Medal of Freedom, he said at an event at his golf club in New Jersey, is “the highest award you can get as a civilian. It’s the equivalent of the Congressional Medal of Honor, but civilian version.”

“It’s actually much better,” Trump continued, “because everyone [who] gets the Congressional Medal, they’re soldiers. They’re either in very bad shape because they’ve been hit so many times by bullets or they’re dead.” A moment later, he declared that the two awards are “rated equal
.”

It's simply amazing he can even be considered a candidate veterans would vote for. No one but Donald "I alone" Trump oudl say something like this and get away with it. Why? Because he's like the "liddle" spoiled child of a wealthy family, who is used to getting his own way and saying whatever the heck he feels like saying -- few to no consequences.

Trump draws a parallel between a campaign donor and war heroes

Medal of Honor: It is often, but incorrectly, referred to as the Congressional Medal of Honor, by people like Trump

Presidential Medal of Freedom and Medal of Honor
“rated equal" by MAGA
Trump should get the Medal of Honor. He served his country and almost died for it unlike Camala and the coward.

Look at what Trump actually said

At an event on Thursday, Trump drew just such a comparison.

“It’s actually much better,” Trump continued, “because everyone [who] gets the Congressional Medal, they’re soldiers. They’re either in very bad shape because they’ve been hit so many times by bullets or they’re dead.” A moment later, he declared that the two awards are “rated equal.”

The comments came as Trump was recognizing Miriam Adelson, widow of Republican megadonor Sheldon Adelson

Maybe after all Trump has made some pretty weird claims:

Trump: ‘I always felt that I was in the military’

Donald Trump did not serve in the military, but according to a report, the Republican presidential candidate and multibillionaire business tycoon said in a forthcoming book that he still “always felt that I was in the military” because he attended a military boarding school and “dealt with those people.”

According to an upcoming biography and interview excerpts shared with The New York Times, Trump said that his five years at the New York Military Academy provided him with “more training militarily than a lot of the guys that go into the military.”

There's nothing wrong with what he said. The truth is, many Medals of Honor are awarded posthumously or after the recipient has suffered life-changing wounds. The Medal of Freedom doesn't require that kind of sacrifice. That's why it's "better."

Trump should choose his words more carefully, but DEMS are lying when they say he disrespected the military.
