In fact, he was trained by the NRA, and was probably the best shot in his class.He was trained to shoot targets the size of a coin. My best guess is that if the school were looking for a skilled marksman to protect the students, he would have been high on this list. Of course, the guy in Las Vegas was also highly trained. He had even worked out the trajectory of bullets with the wind velocity at the time of the shooting.

I got it now. If there had been a "good" guy in that Las Vegas concert with a gun, the "Bad guy" would have been too afraid to kill 51 people, including himself! So glad you explained it to me!
