President Donald Trump announced plans Monday to fill a long-vacant seat on the Fifth Circuit, eyeing a Mississippi Court of Appeals judge who previously served as a Republican state lawmaker.
Judge Cory Wilson has served on the state appeals court since 2019 after spending three years as a GOP member of the Mississippi House of Representatives.
