Trump wants to greatly increase presidential authority in 2025 if he wins

So much for “checks and balances” our FF wanted. Should anyone be surprised by this? Of course not. This is the same guy wanted to terminate the constitution.
Yeah, to hell with checks and balances. The GQP is doing everything they can do remove any officials who can hold them accountable for anything.

They'll call it "draining the swamp", the base will hoot 'n holler 'n grunt in ignorant joy, and it's all good, since they want to be led and controlled by a modern-day Pinochet.

This is what they want. I'd guess that at some point they'll just come out and admit it.

Usual independent government agencies would be directly controlled by the president.

From the article:

“Trump intends to bring independent agencies — like the Federal Communications Commission, which makes and enforces rules for television and internet companies, and the Federal Trade Commission, which enforces various antitrust and other consumer protection rules against businesses — under direct presidential control.

He wants to revive the practice of “impounding” funds, refusing to spend money Congress has appropriated for programs a president doesn’t like — a tactic that lawmakers banned under President Richard Nixon.

He intends to strip employment protections from tens of thousands of career civil servants, making it easier to replace them if they are deemed obstacles to his agenda. And he plans to scour the intelligence agencies, the State Department and the defense bureaucracies to remove officials he has vilified as “the sick political class that hates our country.”

Can you imagine if a democrat was pushing for all of that instead?

Veteran journalist Brian Kareem wrote: "Read. This is the elimination of democracy and the plans of a despotic regime."

Attorney Charles Kuck, an immigration law expert and adjunct professor of law warned, "Trump and his minions want America to be a dictatorship. Be aware."

Trump's revenge tour.

Well at least you are no longer trying to hide that you’re a fascist. Now you’re opening endorsing the worldview. That’s progress I guess
Get you some sunblock 5000, it may help when it's your turn.

So you are a fascist? Got it. Typical republican. It takes them years to realize they have been a fascist all along. They aren’t smart enough for that kind of self awareness.
Lo intellect Goebbels sez wat?

HAHAHAHAA...
Tell me what President didn't seek to extend his power, and attempted to pen his way around Congress? (and many times successfully)

What a joke post

BAHAHAHAHA!!! Leftist Democrat is now worried about checks and balances and the intent of the Founding Fathers. Too late Billy, your dear Democrat leaders blew up checks and balances awhile ago.
So why would Trump make them worse either way?

My wife is a physician and can attest to the fact that you are dead wrong. There's a lot of skepticism around the covid vaccines in the medical community though many are hesitant to speak out.

My cardiologist got the initial vaccine but then refused to get boosted after seeing too many anomalies in many of his vaccinated patients.
Your wife is probably a CNA. And you are dead wrong. Doctors and professionals overwhelmingly say they support the vax.

Lol does it bother you that you talk like an 8th grader? It must be depressing to be so stunted both emotionally and intellectually.
Does it bother you that you lie constantly and even claim you can hear me talking?

Ps: why do you hang around 8th graders?

Of the four most recent Presidents, which two have been smacked down the most by the courts, for trying to usurp and exercise powers that the Constitution does not delegate to them?
