UK now the worst-performing advanced economy in the world...Go Brexit!

"Canada became the last G7 nation to report figures on Wednesday, confirming the UK’s position at the bottom of the list..."

The UK is officially the worst-performing advanced economy in the world
It is always a good idea to google FTSE 100 before posting doomsday UK news, monte.

Do not confuse the speculation in the stock market with the performance of a national economy. The Financial Times index of what bankers and speculators are doing with money on paper bears no reflection of what manufacturers are producing or what exports are earning. The English are about to forfeit their access to an advanced and tariff-free single market on their doorstep. The prices of imports in shops are now rising with the slump in the value of their currency as investors are spooked. Wait and see what happens when Brexit actually happens. The English will not know what has hit them.

With 9,4 % (EU average: 15,3 %, Germany: 22,3 %, all values 2014) of the British GDP, the industry plays not a very large role. But it generates 57 % of the British exports. This means that the UK has a tremendous foreign trade deficit but that on the other hand means that in a tariff war the UK could only win.

Forgive me but I do not follow your argument.
You did not address the impact on the cost of living for English people and on its balance of payments (especially in the casino banking industry of London) when Britain leaves the single market of the EU. It will be a catastrophe for the English.

Given that the UK imports more than it exports, its tariff revenues would greatly outmatch the tariff costs if we assume the UK and a respective trade partner would raise similar amounts of customs duty.

I see what you mean. Since the English balance of trade is a deficit, it stands to reason that a tariff wall will hurt the Europeans more than the English. Nevertheless, there are 27 different economies in the EU and Britain has a surplus with some, e.g., its nearest neighbor, Ireland. So, this will have a negative impact on some exports. Remember, Britain is only one country which will be depriving itself of free access to 27 nations of the European Union and this cannot be good for its industry but the English have not invested in industry for exports in any event. 80% of generted wealth in Britain comes from its banking speculation, financial services, insurance, and so forth in the City of London. These banks will not have a free passport to trade with EU countries after Brexit. Already financial services are making arrangements to relocate to Frankfurt-am-Main, Paris, and Dublin. Nothing good will come from Brexit for the English.

I am sure the tax evading business would flourish more than before as the EU would have no say anymore. And as London is the world´s largest financial market, business is being made with most of the world.
But what the Pro-EU people are really waiving is a point that shouldn´t be ignored: If the outcome of the referendum will be ignored or if they make as many referendums as they need to get their desired result like in Ireland, not the slightest damn could be given about their democracy anymore.

The pro-Brexit vote was only 52% and 48% wanted to remain. You speak of democracy but what of the rights of nearly half the population that wanted to stay in the EU. Also, the majority of the Scottish voted to remain EU citizens.

The rules of a referendum are clear. And what about the rights of the 52 % majority?

Also, the majority of the Scottish voted to remain EU citizens.
It was a UK referendum.

I mean, come on, democracy is foul and can´t do alright. For example, only 24 % of the eligible voters voted the conservative party. Yet they are considered elected. But what about 76 % that did NOT vote the conservatives? We all have to play by the given rules.

You are making two separate points. There is no rule which says that a referendum with a 52/48 division should mean that nearly half the electorate should be disregarded. The Scottish are a nation which are being dragged out of the EU against their will. This is unjust. The majority of the North Ireland electorate also voted to remain but the Brexit is being imposed on them also. This represents a serious democratic deficiency in the Brexit referendum. When the English voted narrowly for Brexit, did they mean leaving the single market? Did only a minority want this but others wanted control of the borders? Prthaps others wanted to be out of the European Court so that the English judiciary would be independed in all respects. Maybe others wanted only to leave the Human Rights treaty? Who knows? It is a mess.

Secondly, only votes cast can be raken into consideration, of course.

Yes there is as the only possible answers were yes and no. Plus I believe you would praise the referendum if your side would have won he 52 %.

No, they simply lost the referendum. Seek your salvation from the fact that the Brexit might not happen at all.

The EU and what it includes. That is what the referendum was about. Your criticism works the other way round, as well, if I may add.

Anyway, settle your domestic problems at first before you want to join or stay in my Union. In my Union, countries can not join or stay under the following conditions:

- Being a satellite state of a foreign power and thus a trojan horse
- Allowing foreign and domestic criminals to terrorize and abuse the population
- Allowing the breakdown of the education system
- Supporting terrorism
- Destroying the own economy
- Red Bobbies are not allowed
- Running out of ammo after a month of bombing a 75.000 men army
- Allowing malicious immigration
- Banning the celebrations and traditions of native religions while supporting foreign
- Establishing a "political correctness" in the name of freedom
- Red buses are not allowed
- Maintaining expensive but useless government institutions
- Privatizing public property
- Issuing referendums whose outcomes are not binding
- Raiding countries in malicious intentions
- Snickers dip recipes are not allowed

Sorry, your country violates each of that simple and understandable basic governmental no-gos. The Union can support your country in its efforts to seek acceptance.

Three-week wait to see your doctor: Millions of patients are denied a prompt appointment to see their GP | Daily Mail Online
Same as the insurance companies leaving the ACA with so much GOP propaganda in the last several years.

Why has the ACA failed, because THE GOP caused the FAILURE of the ACA.

If there were money to be made the insurance companies would be beating down the door to provide service. The facts are that obummer lied about the ACA and now, we the people, get to reap the rewards for believing a lying piece of shit like obummer.

Wait till , if you don't like your doctor, don't worry you will no longer be able to afford one ,

or the only treatment from now on is if the insurance company agrees to it.

and both will be the truth. The ACA has a slow death due to the GOP, the tea party, and greedy elites.

How many times are you RWNJ's going to post that article? The article is lacking a lot.

Please credit me with more integrity than that.
I would not praise such a referendum even if my side had won.
It was a crude piece of politicking in order to pacify the anti-European Union element among the Tories.
As I indicated there were different motivations behind those who supported it without being clear on any one idea.
Contrary to what Prime Minister Theresa May says, no-one knows what Brexit means.

I agree the majority of the Scottish are being treated as if they had voted to leave the EU. Considering that they had been told that the only way to preserve their place within the EU was to vote to stay in the United Kingdom, this is a treachery by the ruling English.

You cannot say that based on the text of the referendum. It was a crude question with serious repercussions and not appropriate for a referendum in the first place.

I have no idea what you are on about. I do not know what your union is or what you think my domestic problems are or what you imagine my country to be. This part of your post is incoherent.

Well, ok. No one knows what will come, granted. But it isn´t the doomsday. Britain could remain in the European customs union - it isn´t EU exclusive - or otherwise negotiate similar conditions. The EU stressed several times they don´t want to punish Britain.

A referendum outcome cannot be promised, that you should know. Maybe it was the only way but I cannot imagine they guaranteed success.

Can you explain this more precisely?

I have no idea what you are on about. I do not know what your union is or what you think my domestic problems are or what you imagine my country to be. This part of your post is incoherent.
Don´t worry, most countries couldn´t join without serious efforts but I explain it in short:

- Being a satellite state of a foreign power and thus a trojan horse
Worse than any other, the UK is submissive to the US.

- Allowing foreign and domestic criminals to terrorize and abuse the population
Example: Organized forced prostitution with gruesome methods of minors with government knowledge.

- Allowing the breakdown of the education system
Half of the school leavers are dyslectic. They barely master SMS/Whatsapp language.

- Supporting terrorism
Support for al-Qaeda and ISIS in Syria and Libya.

- Destroying the own economy
Destruction of the industries beginning under Thatcher.

- Red Bobbies are not allowed
Self-explanatory.

- Running out of ammo after a month of bombing a 75.000 men army
The UK had to beg the US for ammo during the Libya war 2011.

- Allowing malicious immigration
Criminal intruders are not proper immigrants and should be treated accordingly.

- Banning the celebrations and traditions of native religions while supporting foreign
Example: Renaming Christmas, banning of piggy banks at counters and Christmas decoration in multiple cases - even in advance.

- Establishing a "political correctness" in the name of freedom
Telling the Brits what they can say and what not, which opinions are evil and which not, ect. All not based on law.

- Red buses are not allowed
Self-explanatory.

- Maintaining expensive but useless government institutions
Monarchy-remains and Upper House at least can go away.

- Privatizing public property
Example: Privatization of water. A hot good as it belongs to the people. Led to increase of prices and decrease of quality, for example pressure decreases due to absence of maintenance.

- Issuing referendums whose outcomes are not binding
Example: The Brexit referendum.

- Raiding countries in malicious intentions
Multiple examples.

- Snickers dip recipes are not allowed
Self-explanatory.

The ACA is having a slow to quickening death because it was a lie. It was meant to fail but the plan to use it as a springboard to Single Payer failed because your hero, the shrilary, lost the election. Must suck to be you.

Single payer systems are the only healthcare systems that work cost effectively if universal healthcare for the poor and wealthy is desired.

Show us where they work and I'll believe you. The fact is that single payer healthcare systems work great so long as you're healthy. The second you get sick though, and I mean really sick, then the outcomes are not so great. The NHS is merely one example of a failed single payer system. California wants to enact single payer the problem with that is the cost is TWICE what the annual budget for the whole State!

Single payer is not possible based on incompetent management by the government.

Brexit hasn't even happened yet, so this is a premature, liberal circle jerk.

Of course Brexit has happened. You think that UK banks and financial services providers haven't begun to transfer operations to the EU to handle the EU market that is being handled from London? You think automobile manufacturers haven't begun to reduce investments in plant and equipment in the UK when they know that there will be tariffs on parts and materials coming from the EU to build automobiles in the UK and that there will be tariffs on cars that they previously shipped to the EU tariff free, as part of the single market?

You are a deranged fascist.

you think the EU is not dissolving as you giggle?

The EU is strengthening and without Britain is integrating and creating an EU military. Becoming what it was supposed to become, a federal state, like the U.S. Just as Churchill wanted. Too bad the Brexiters have forgotten Churchill.

Ah! The conflicted Monty once again.
Is this the Male Monty or the Female Monty.
A few weeks ago Monty was crying over the Muslim invasion and now doesn't care as long as the EU makes money during the Jihad.

What are you going on about? What does Brexit and the EU strengthening have to do with Muslims, you obsessive little creep.
