The population of Ferguson is 60% black. The police force is 94% white. That alone says a great deal. The people and the cops do not have a positive, healthy working relationship. It is really the responsibility of the police force to create a good environment, and they clearly have not done so.

Police are not responsible for creating "environments", Esmerelda...they are responsible for enforcing the law. When someone does what Michael Brown DID it's the responsibility of the police to enforce the law that protects that convenience store owner from strong arm robbery.

HE woke up that morning and decided that he'd rob the local convenience store and bully the clerk. HE decided that after robbing that store he would walk down the center of the street and ignore a request from a police officer to get on the sidewalk. HE decided to reach into that police officer's car and assault the policeman.

That's bullshit. The police ARE enforcers. They are there to "serve and protect" people who obey the law but they are not there to "serve and protect" those who break the law.

Facts straight?
1) video shows Brown strong arming a much smaller clerk...over cigars!
2) Brown's blood was found in the police car...how'd it get there?
3) No one is above the law especially Brown when Wilson an officer of the law is heard by several witnesses giving a clear concise command "STOP"!

Anything above and beyond those 3 fundamental facts to me is further proof that Brown was a threat not only to the policeman but to society.

Actually, gov't was for the people the 1st night in Ferguson (look how that turned out). The NG didn't appear until last night.........most likely thanks to conservatives.

The National Guard did not show up because the Governor did not order them to patrol the streets in Ferguson. There were some Guardsmen there, but they were only allowed to protect government facilities. The Governor is a Democrat and was in touch with Holder and the White House who may have influenced his decision.

If you were to call the police for something do you have faith that when they get there they will perform their duties professionally and fairly?
