Unscientific, but I do see Johnson supporters going back to Trump

In my house, my wife is voting Trump, but she always votes Republican. My daughters are both libertarian. My oldest daughter is going to follow through and vote for Johnson, but she lives in California (going to Berkeley) and admitted she'd go Trump if he had a chance in California a couple months ago. Now this morning my other daughter who lives here in North Carolina and has been solid Johnson told me she "may have to vote for Trump." She just despises Hillary too much.

I'm hearing from others around my area too who had been never Trump when he won the nomination say they are just too disturbed by Hillary and are starting to lean back to Trump. I'm sticking with Johnson. I meant it when I said I won't vote for someone who isn't a free market capitalist.

I live in Durham, which is heavily Democrat. And I've seen two Hillary signs the last few days. I'm not saying Hillary supporters will vote Trump, but if they stay home and Trump supporters turn out, this could get interesting
Of course. In Trump they see a bit of a libertarian anyway. And Johnson supporters want to back a winner.

:wtf:

Trump is libertarian ... how? ...

Just a minute. What is wrong with free market capitalism?.....This system allows me to make a living and get a fair price for the services I provide to others.
Are you somehow averse to your fellow American making a living to support his family?
Just give me straight answers. Don't beat around the bush.....Don't politic. And don't answer the questions with questions.
At the end of the day, the only alternative to free market capitalism is socialism. And you are voting for a Libertarian?.....WTF

I said I'm a free market capitalist and I'm not voting for Trump because he isn't. GED anyone? By anyone, I mean you ...

Im not talking to you any more if you're a blue devil, lol.

My daughter who's at Berkeley went to Duke undergrad. Double majored in Math & French. She's getting her PhD at Berkeley in French now.

I was a Terp undergrad though. I've never been able to wrap my head around rooting sincerely for Duke anyway despite all the money I have invested in the place now ...

Also, a bunch of Duke departments were customers of my business before I sold it. A bunch of UNC departments too. They are only a few miles apart.

So anyway, I guess I'm safe
Gotta ask...A Phd in French?......why?....Hope she's looking to public sector service as a career because unless a firm needs an interpreter who can speak French, prospects are somewhat limited......
Not to make anything into anything but many of the baristas at Starbucks have degrees in Language Arts and the Humanities.
I guess that is capitalism......
BTW, who is paying your kid's student loans?

I paid for her Duke degree and I told her that was enough pain, she's on her own from here. She went out and got a free ride. She is getting a free ride and saving tens of thousands getting her PhD. Smart kid.

And there is only one reason to get a PhD in French, to say in academia. Interestingly enough she's a hard core capitalist. She also decides year to year whether to say in the program or get a job in business. No point, just answering your question

Not likely. Unlike Trump supporters, Johnson supporters are more diverse in age, race, and education. For example 13% of Johnson supporters are black or Latino compared to Trump's 6%. While less than 40% of Trump supporters are women, 51% of Johnson supporters women.

Would it really make a difference if most of the Johnson supporters turned to Trump. Not likely, because 7 of the 10 states where Johnson is the strongest are Red states that Trump is going to win with or without Johnson support.

I didn't say Trump will or won't win, just it would make it more interesting
Like I said, where Johnson is strongest, so is Trump so more votes for Trump in states he's already going to win will make no difference.

Dr. Jill Stein says The Donald is a better choice than Crooked Hillary. And it's true, it's true.

When I thought I ran out of reasons, here's Thereisnospoon giving us MORE reasons not to do drugs.

But Trump does believe in the free market: he wants to use the presidency to get free stuff for his corporations, and free them from taxes.

One's level of education, which I will not divulge because it is none of your fucking business, is not an indicator of intelligence.
BTW a vote for Gary Johnson is a vote for Hillary Clinton.....Those that are standing on principle will find their act of digging in their heels will result in the scuttling of the election and by extension scuttling the country.
So go ahead and stand on principle.

Oh yes...The insult card . Fabulous

With Hillary's lead, Gary Johnson is irrelevant. He could withdraw and it would make less than a 1% deference between Trump and Hillary.

Then why is his flagship issue more government? We aren't free to trade ... unless he says so. Punishing companies that want to be efficient. More government isn't less government, actually

That you own my vote is retarded. I'll use my vote as I chose, not as you do

I live in Nevada which is a swing state and I still voted for Johnson

Yep, me too, I'm in North Carolina and I'm voting for Johnson. I meant it when I said I wouldn't vote for anyone who's not a free market capitalist, and Trump isn't.

The Republican party has been spiraling down for decades, but they used to at least give lip service to capitalism and free trade. Now they're openly against it

I'm one.

I wish it was Bob Barr, not Johnson, because I think Barr would've gotten in the debates... and ran away with it.

Johnson was a bump on a log with no clue.

Yes, he is, and what's really sad is he's the best candidate of the lot of them

Johnson's kinda proved himself to be a bit of a dunce. And he's had nothing but wonderful things to say about Clinton. Some of his loyal supporters have lost faith in him. Many will either not vote, or head over to the Trump Camp.
