Vegas murders motive, my guess

The Sheriff says it possibly was "radicalization".

Do we know more than the Sheriff?
I surely hope we do.

If an intelligent man (Paddock was an accountant), a born and fully conditioned American, can be sufficiently radicalized to do what he did, we are talking about a Manchurian Candidate capability which calls for an immediate frontal attack with the objective of exterminating Islam. I'm talking about the Tenth Crusade with the entire Western World intending to leave no survivors. Total annihilation.

Or they will, because they can, do it to us. If they can radicalize and direct the will of a man like Paddock it's just a matter of time until our own children will be plotting against us.
----------------------------------------------------------- girlfriend , wife 'marylou danley' was 'phillipino' , lots of muslims in the 'phillipines' . In fact muslims were fought in the 'phillipines' in the early 1900s or late 1800s . And i think that there is war against the 'phillipino ' muslims today as we type on a message board .

You can think what you want. In all truth I couldn't care less what you think.

I prefer to listen to the Sheriff comments when he says Paddock possibly was radicalized.

As simple as that.:dunno:

I am trying to put this in nicely, but this is just ONE reason to repeal the second amendment on the grounds it's outdated and invalid.
so he just goes out and buys them on the black market.....same thing happens....

You guys make it sound like going and buying something on the black market is as easy as going to the local convenience store for a 6 pack of beer.

Got news for you................it's not that easy.

For those of you who think that getting something off of the black market is so easy, then go and get something from there. Not only do you have to know people just to get in the door to talk to someone who may have what you want, but things on the black market are generally 3 to X times the cost of what the thing would have been originally.
abs my late brother in law,who did 2 stints in cal state prisons knew guys out in hemet ca that could get him anything he wanted, including some pretty nice weapons, and i seen some of the stuff he was able to get....and these guys were not big time, just bikers who ran guns, and he wasnt rich....he ended getting himself killed, but when you live like that its to be expected....

You know, that is one of the main reasons why I won't fully shake the possibility of him being connected to ISIL. There are lots of radicalized Muslims in the PI right now, and there are more showing up every day.

They may have lost in Iraq, but they seem to be gravitating towards the PI right now.

I'm very skeptical of the ISIS connection. He's too old, too rich, too smart, too...white...to go down that route. Like I said earlier, he probably knew he was going to be arrested for something and sent away to prison so decided to go out fighting instead.

You believe the ability to defend oneself is "outdated" and "invalid?"
Yet that gets twisted into defending a mass shooter. Defending yourself yes, mass shooting, not so much.I have seen how Tommy guns were sold back in the twenties in sales catalogs, the mobsters got a hold of them and we got the valentines day massacre and the Chicago typewriter. Bump stocks. And this mass shooting in LV, I doubt our founding fathers had any of this in mind when they penned the 2nd amendment. It's been abused to our detriment, not our betterment. Self defense? Get a lawyer. Let's end the madness, repeal the second amendment.
The real cause of the mobsters shooting each other was not availability of the Thompson, it was the official federal stupidity called Prohibition. What your adventure into that old Sears Roebuck catalog didn't tell you is all that gangster stuff stopped when Prohibition was repealed.

So don't blame it, or anything else, on guns. Just keep in mind that guns are the reason there is a USA with its envied Constitution.

That is my point exactly. You know your brother, and he spent time in a place where he could make connections.

However...................the average person doesn't know anyone like that or have the connections that you apparently had.

Yeah, I used to run with bikers, matter of fact, was friends with the president of the local chapter of 1 percenters here in Amarillo. Back then, I could have probably gotten anything I wanted, but as the years progressed and I lost touch with all of them, trying to generate the same connections I used to have would be difficult at best.

Well, the free access to firearms guaranteed by the 2nd amendment dosen't help, given we give the means to destroy innocent people to who might be madmen. Or to those given to mad causes, I doubt our forefathers had the foresight or could foresee machine guns and the darker angles of our nature. Nope, not mentioned in the constitution. People do stupid evil vile shit. Don't enable that.

Well, you've gotta also look at his girlfriend. Sometimes, women can make dudes do really stupid crap.

I mean, look at the San Bernadino shooters. He was a US citizen who met some woman online, decided he liked her and asked her to marry him. She then radicalized him, got married and came to this country on a marriage visa, and then they shot up the party in San Bernadino.

He wasn't radicalized before he met that woman online.

Shut the fuck up about gun control already and learn how to spell. Disarm the populace and there's no deterrent to home invasions.

he did not make the connections inside...he made them in the slimeball bars out in hemet....this guy paddock had money and he hung around the casinos,a few well placed inquiries and he may get to whom he needs to get to to get the weapons he wants.....just speculating.....

Doesn't change the fact that your average citizen doesn't know the kind of people that can hook them into a black market.

`
`

My suspicions;

a) There is a cover-up going on.

b) The shooter was using military grade weapons. The "bump stocks" is a red herring.

c) The man had chemicals in his possession that are explosive.

d) It appears not too many people really know him.

was this guy your average citizen?....

Actually, no. He wasn't your average citizen because he was extremely wealthy and walked in upper crust circles.

But still....................not the kind of guy you would think of as a black market type. If anything, he put out feelers and had them come to him if that is what he did.

But I doubt it, because all the weapons he bought were legally purchased, and he didn't have a record. He had no reason to go through illegal means.

If you think that illegal guns are expensive now, if they repealed the 2nd amendment, the price would be so high on the black market that only rich people like the Vegas shooter would be able to afford them.

If you want to see capitalism at it's finest, look at the black market. Supply determines price, and if there are very few guns, the price will be super expensive.

The main thing is the money. He who has the money will get what he wants. It will find him if he isn't hiding.
