Viktor Shokin = Corrupt

Dem's are squealing like stuck pigs, we took down Biden he's toast in 2020. Now all they have left is Warren :auiqs.jpg:
"We took down Biden"

It's obvious that was the ONLY goal here.To use a foreign state to attack a political opponent...and it's backfiring badly on Trump.

And no. You haven't taken him down

Hillary was behind the Biden take down and now is going after Lizzy Cheekbones

Biden didn't run in 2016.

Now fun facts:

Elizabeth Warren announced that she's running on December 31, 2018.
Tulsi Gabbard announced that she's running on January 11, 2019.
Julian Castro announced that he's running on January 12, 2019.
Kamala Harris announced that she's running on January 21, 2019.
Pete Buttigieg announced that he's running on January 23, 2019.
Cory Booker announcement was on February 1, 2019.
Amy Klobuchar announced that she's running on February 10, 2019.
Bernie Sanders announced he's running again on February 19, 2019.

~~~~~~~~two months~~~~~~~
Ukrainian presidential elections final round April 21, 2019.
~~~~~~~~four days~~~~~~

Biden announced that he's running on April 25, 2019.

It doesn't matter. If these Trumpbots cared about corruption they never would have voted for Trump in the first place. Trump's kids are raking in cash hand over fist because Trump is president. Do they care? Obviously not. Do they think the Trump kids should be investigated for their foreign business dealings? Hell no. What we have here is exactly what it looks like, the president using his office in a attempt to hurt a political rival. The Trumpbots are happy to join him in this effort. They know it as well as you do but the refrain of fascists everywhere echoes through the narrative: The ends justify the means,
Trump is the most investigated president we have ever had. What you got? NOTHING!

Lib please Biden is toast at this point. Good luck running Liz Warren :auiqs.jpg:

So let me see if I understand the Democrats' position on this: Joe Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion in aid from Ukraine if Ukraine did not fire the prosecutor who was investigating the Ukrainian company
The prosecutor was not at the time investigating the Ukrainian company.
:bs1::bs1::bs1::bs1::bs1::bs1::bsflag:

How the fuck could you possibly know what the prosecutor was not investigating?

:rolleyes:

When people base their entire argument on those sorts of unsupported assertions, it tends to tickle my bullshit detector.

Shokin was evil. Trump likes evil.
Why do you believe that Shokin was evil?

Do you have any details of his evil deeds, or are you merely a feeble-minded brainwashed idiot with a TDS affliction?
Do you live in a cave that only receives Fox News or something?

Here is a bipartisan letter from 2016: : Portman, Durbin, Shaheen, and Senate Ukraine Caucus Reaffirm Commitment to Help Ukraine Take on Corruption | Senator Rob Portman

Succeeding in these reforms will show Russian President Vladimir Putin that an independent, transparent, and democratic Ukraine can and will succeed. It also offers a stark alternative to the authoritarianism and oligarchic cronyism prevalent in Russia. As such, we respectfully ask that you address the serious concerns raised by Minister Abromavi?ius‎. We similarly urge you to press ahead with urgent reforms to the Prosecutor General's office and judiciary. The unanimous adoption by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Basic Principles and Action Plan is a good step.

The European Union has welcomed the dismissal of Ukraine’s scandal-ridden prosecutor general and called for a crackdown on corruption, even as the country’s political crisis deepened over efforts to form a new ruling coalition and appoint a new prime minister.

Ukraine’s parliament voted overwhelmingly to fire Viktor Shokin, ridding the beleaguered prosecutor’s office of a figure who is accused of blocking major cases against allies and influential figures and stymying moves to root out graft.

EU hails sacking of Ukraine’s prosecutor Viktor Shokin

So there you go. Not only did the EU want Shokin gone, not only did the Ukraine parliament want him gone, so did the Republicans and Democrats in the US.

And this is the piece of shit Trump has decided to align himself with!

Wakey wakey!

In Ukraine, Trump’s allies are corrupt oligarchs and Russian stooges

PRESIDENT TRUMP is right about Ukraine in one respect: For many years, the country’s politics have been dominated by a complex and ugly struggle over corruption. The short version is this: An underdog movement of civil society activists, journalists and liberal legislators, with the sporadic support of Western governments, has battled oligarchs — many with connections to Russia or to organized crime — and the compromised government officials who protect them. More often than not, the reformers have lost.

What Mr. Trump does not explain is that he and his lawyer, Rudolph W. Giuliani, have sided with the bad guys in this struggle: the Russians, the oligarchs and the compromised officials. The false stories they tell about Joe Biden and other U.S. Democrats result from this misguided alliance.

So Biden essentially laundered some of the $1B loan back into his families pockets. Nice work when you can get it

"So I sez to the Ukrainian, 'nice country you got there, it would be a shame if somthing happened to it. Maybe youz guyz should hire my son Hunter to keep an eye on things. Don't worry, we'll send you $1B of taxpayer money -- I'm sure you can find a way to help pay his salary'"

So you just engage in baseless accusations now?

Now?....silly me...that's all you do

"Because I said so" isn't a very compelling argument IMNSHO.

Is that the best you can do?

Just to make it clear.

Our Senators write the letter to Ukrainian President Poroshenko and urge him to reform Prosecutor General office, because they say he's corrupted.

Soon after, Biden pressed the Ukrainian President Poroshenko into firing prosecutor Shokin, which he did.

Great. Did corruption ended?

Fast forward two years, where Poroshenko lost the Ukrainian presidential elections because people of Ukraine thought he's corrupted. Basically, we demanded from corrupted guy to fire another corrupted guy so we can install the office to fight corruption, office occupied with more of our and Ukrainian corrupted guys.

They could've save us and Ukrainian people a lot of trouble if they just wrote letter to Poroshenko and ask him to resign.

Similarly, Ted "The Dead Commie" Kennedy literally begged the Russians on his knees to help keep Reagan from getting elected.

Now he's on his knees in hell, giving the Devil lip service.
