gipper Sorry for not being thorough on this point. However, widely circulated in media described as a "dark history" is how Brazil imported 10 million slaves from Africa, and the Latins were typically very harsh on slavery from the beginning that they were treated worse as imported slaves than the Peon system for natives of the region. Catholicism of course would accept conversion from a masculine Christian marriage to bring a woman into the faith and such distinctions are some origins on our current state of affairs.
To the poster obsessed on the Muslim slavery, then there's obviously admirable and degradable points to it. I hear Continental persons make a joke that Muslims are homosexuals, that sure sounds strange, but, I Guess it originates from the Turkish baths where Ottomans would force recruit young Christian boys to serve in bath houses or services and most Muslim slavery involved sexual services, they Favored women slavery. the Americas would only favor women slavery because they were Scarce on the ships. Admirable on the other hand of Muslim slavery which somehow Robert E Lee said this was the Whole Point, The Muslim slavery prevented the slavery of Muslims so theoreticaly Muslims would be freed?
