I'm not going to argue this post point by point, but to point out that the Regular People have not benefited from Trump's policies and behavior. It's not what he has said, it's what he has done and that is the polar opposite of populism.

Trump is a demagogue and a charlatan. He abuses the power of his office, has created the greatest divide among ordinary citizens since 1861, and surrounded himself with a power elite - plutocrats who have used the governments largess as their own piggy bank.

He brands himself as an economist, and takes credit for things he has not done, and accuses past presidents for all that is wrong; he makes claims only he can fix them, and yet on macroeconomics, diplomacy, and transaction leadership he is at best a dilettante.

1. Regular people have benefited, from the economy, and from the above "promises kept", name what is the "opposite" of populism.
2. In spite of the constant harangue by the MSM, the 93% negative coverage, and the "fake news" Trump has still ~50% approval (Rasmussen)
3. Name calling is nonsense without examples, so is whining about "abuses" or whining about stealing w/o names or links
4. Calling a billionaire an economic "dilettante" makes no sense to most of us, we do blame past presidents for many things, such as Obamacare (where we can't afford the deductibles) or NK, or Iran (giving them billions for terror), or high taxes chasing corporations overseas, or moving manufacturing jobs overseas (Obama: those jobs aren't coming back ), committing to the US giving $trillions to poor countries via the Paris Climate scam, etc.

Those who state that the 14th was intended to guarantee citizenship to recently freed slaves are absolutely right. When this amendment was pushed through in the extra-constitutional manner in which it was that was the plan.
Applying it to anchor babies is a recent phenomenon.

That said, the wording of the damn thing is plain and clear, regardless of the intent of the radicals that pushed it through.

Fix it or accept it, there is no going around it.

Personally I think it should have had a sunset provision - say 100 years, generally guaranteeing that the last person born into slavery had passed away.

Amend it through the normal process. While you are at it, clarify the status of those born to a US citizen outside the borders of the nation.
