What Does "Top Talent" Think about Working in States that Ban Abortion?

Who told you that? Again, you’re on this pro life kick but most people don’t care. I am pro choice but this is like #1004 on my list of priorities.

I think you underestimate this issue. it’s a MoFo in terms of passion.

Tell your conservative pals to wise up. This is a loser if they’d like to take congress.

I am not really a conservative. I am a logical human. For example I do not believe a man can just identify as a woman and then poof be called a woman. People are flocking out of NY and Cali into states like TX for a reason. Leftists have asked for too much.

I am also willing to politely debate unlike those on the left who want an echo chamber.

Very seldom are innocent people subjected to the death penalty. They are, the very least of them career criminals.

It’s more common than you’d care to admit. Wise up hun …

What I am saying is that the death penalty is convenient for getting rid of career criminals even if they have not committed a death penalty offense. It should be carried out a lot sooner. Like pass sentence, the bailiff puts a bullet in his head right at the counsel table.

I avoid the “echo chamber” choosing news sources like WSJ, NPR, AP & Reuters.

And this claim that everyone is flocking to red states is goofy.

Young people are flocking to the suburbs of America’s largest cities. That’s where the money is.

Corporations move where the cost if operations is the lowest while not losing the factors that appeal to business people...entertainment, both moral and immoral.
People make their entertainment. If they want a live theater or Opera house they build it. People go where they can make money and be safe. Give all the gay rights you want, but if it isn't safe to walk your dog, gay rights won't matter.

I think flinging then off of rooftops would be way more fun.
That way you and your sadistic pals could take bets on the number of bounces & the weight of brain matter scooped off the sidewalk.
It’s about the cruelty - Own it Dipsy!

Actually I was in South Chicago in April.

I had no problem.

My only complaints about the Chicago area are,

A lot of traffic caused by construction.

Their toll pay system doesn't record out of state license plates as having registered with their pay by plate system so I ended up getting a notice of not paid on the toll and a fine even though I had signed up with the system. I called to find out what the problem was. They said yes, I was correctly signed up but their system doesn't record out of state plates as paid. I said "that's quite a racket you've got going there." They fixed the problem and I didn't pay the fines.

Other than that, the roads were normal, I didn't see ghost towns, I didn't see any horrible poverty I saw in places like Missouri, South Dakota and Oklahoma. I wasn't afraid in the hotels. No one tried to break into my hotel room. The air didn't make me sick.

It was nothing like the red states I went through.

Sounds like you were on the Northwest Tollway....it doesn't go through the worst of Chicago, in fact I doubt you got off the toll way.

Only a fool would venture in the bad areas of Chicago

Leftists on this board love themselves an echo chamber.

Nope.. more like 1%. One in 100 is way too many.

This is of course a worthy debate. But DP merchants always lose when they learn how much more expensive DP is.
It should be less expensive. We need to fix that for sure. But I am all for it. Some people deserve to die. Rapists, murderers, etc.

You just don't like muslim culture. People don't bounce. They splat. Their heads explode like a watermelon. If they are obnoxious gays like bodecea, they deserve it.

It isn't my fault gays are disgusting.

The death penalty is expensive because of the appeals. While they only get one appeal as a matter of right, these worthless criminal friendly organizations file appeal after appeal hoping to give their worthless skins more time. Speed up sentencing.

This is a very interesting study.

I'm sure that the conservatives won't believe it or even click the link but intelligent people will.

Texas and any state that enacts legislation like the one Texas has enacted, are not going to get well educated people to their state. They won't get business to come to their state and they will see people leave their state.

It's very telling, the consequences of passing such laws, people and business won't stand for it.

It's going to cause those red states to fall even farther behind.

From the study:

Data suggest:
  • Large majorities of top talent support abortion access and consider the issue part of gender equity in the workplace;
  • Two-thirds say the Texas ban would discourage them from working in the state;
  • 64% say they would not apply for a job in a state that passed a ban like Texas';
  • About half says they would consider moving out-of-state if their lawmakers
    passed a similar ban.

The college-educated workforce values abortion access and sees the issue as part of gender equity in the workplace.
Roughly eight in ten respondents (79%) do not want Roe v. Wade overturned. The same proportion (80%) feels access to abortion is an important part of women's rights and gender equity - 63% feel this strongly.
Respondents also connect abortion to other issues. Two-thirds (65%) would guess that states that protect abortion rights and access are more likely to have good health care, good-paying jobs, and a higher-quality of life v. those that ban or restrict abortion access (10%).

Majorities across segments say this law would discourage them from working in Texas:
  • Women (74%)
  • Men (58%)
  • Gen Z (73%)
  • Millennials (69%)
  • Black employees (60%)
  • Latino/a employees (64%)
  • AAPI employees (62%)
  • Recent graduates (67%)

You can read all of the findings of the study at the following link:

Good luck with that Texas and any state that passes the same anti abortion law.
More bullshit from a known slinger of such. News flash dummy, if there are openings in Texas, they’re going there to work. Good luck to any doctor attempting to find your brain.
