What is an "assault rifle"?

Is one of these an "assault rifle"? If so, which one?

depending on the use both are assault rifles,,,

thankfully the 2nd amendment covers both
The second amendment covers all arms, and fools do not even know that all arms are not available to them so a2 is moot
Covers all arms? Ummmm no it doesn't. It seems to leave out machine guns...and I would argue assault weapons for the same reason
/——/ The 2nd Amendment does not specify what weapons since the Founding Fathers had no idea what new weapons would be developed in the future.
They had no idea we would have 30,000 gun deaths a year
60% of those are suicide.

67 percent of Americans support an assault weapons ban
Among Republicans, 46 percent support, 46 percent approve

A stunning number lands in the middle of the gun debate - CNNPolitics
and those same 67% can't define an assault rifles characteristics that don't bleed into every other gun out there.

We can work on it and make it bigger when you guys whine ........Why isn’t this an assault rifle too?
see what i mean? you can't even define what you want to ban - you just will ban MORE when you find out you've been wrong about what you THOUGHT you knew.

and it's a rugar 10/22 accessorized. if you're calling this an assault rifle then you are simply going by the look and not the performance nor features of the gun.

THAT is the issue. gun grabbers won't learn about guns, they just broaden their hate and in the end come after guns ALL THE WHILE saying they're not doing that.
Easy to come up with an initial definition based on firing rate
We can refine it as you guys start to whine about it

As a start, we can limit magazines to 15 rounds
That should slow you down when you want to slaughter school children

You're talking to a population small enough that you could literally name them.

They had no idea we would have 30,000 gun deaths a year
Source? How many of those are legally owned guns responsible for? How many are suicides? How many are by law enforcement?

Automobiles kill over a million people a year. Should we ban those too?

It’s actually closer to 33,000 a year, I rounded off

And no, automobiles do not kill over a million people a year
That is just stupid

What's this assigning me as a killer shit?

Crap like this is why you get ignored.
Just trying to make things more difficult for those who want to slaughter school children

Again, a very small population.

Actually the rate of gun deaths per capital was likely just as high then.. Crime is not a new thing
/—-/ And who kept murder statistics in colonial times? You could kill someone in the wilderness and the critters would eat the remains overnight.

They also had no idea that a single person could, on their own with no fact check or restraint, write something that could be read by virtually everyone in the world in a matter of seconds. If you are going to allow changing circumstances to justify voiding a part of the Constitution without going through the legal process to amend it, you're opening up the other parts of it to the same treatment. IOW, be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

A2 was already changed or is being ignored. You have no right to militia capable arms

This meets the Left's definition of an assault rifle. No more Olympic Biathlon.

It depends on whose hands are holding the rifle, and the intent, motif or desire of the person who possesses or owns any gun.

Sadly the Red Flag response by Trump and Pence cannot determine the intent, motif or desire of the person who is in possession of these rifles or any firearm. The best that can be done is to create a data base to establish probabilities based on past behaviors.

Of course that is not a sure thing, but the best we can do to limit the horrific murders committed by anyone, even sane, sober and law abiding citizens, until the moment they snap.

Moscow Mitch needs to resign for the good of the country, or bring forth the bill passed by the H. or Rep. on background checks, and support it loudly; or be as culpable for the deaths of those by guns as is Wayne LaPierre and the domestic terrorist he is the Chief Executive and Executive Vice President of, the National Rifle Association.
