First of all, how in the fuck can you go from thinking that Trump will help you to thinking that in the alternative that Bernie will help you? The two are not similar at all. In fact, both Kasich and Cruz are by far closer to Trump politically that Bernie.

Secondly, party is essential to our system because it provides accountability. We are not supposed to be ruled by some kind of cult of personality. In fact, the person holding office ought to be irrelevant. We ought to be able, as voters, to rely upon the ideology imputed to a particular candidate as a consequence of political affiliation so that we will know what they will do in a variety of situations rather than have to guess.
