What is your favorite story from the Bible?

My fave story is the flood, because nobody can tell me how Noah got kangaroos from Australia and back again.
The world was one giant continent back then.
250 million years ago? As science shows? Sorry, but there were no humanoids back then. Epic fail.
Heat speeds up the aging process.
And still you ignore prior discussions.
Are you suffering from dementia?
What you say makes no sense. Can you produce a real scientific link that backs up what you say?
Can you produce a real scientific link that backs up what you say?

And there's plenty more, just google it.

Because Australia wasn't a separate continent before the flood.
Try reading the verse about the subterranean waters that came to the surface.
But that would require actually reading.
Is that based on scientific evidence or was that story simply pulled out of thin air?
We already had this discussion and you haven't looked it up...no surprise.
Look up what? The scientific evidence that humans were alive 250 million years ago?
The fact that extreme heat speeds up the aging process.
It's called oxidation.
Don't look it up...you'll simply get confused.
So how does this tie into the continents being together 250 million years ago? And the fact that there were no humans at that time?
Do your almost non-functioning brain a favor and look it up.
Your lack of intelligence and correlation is mind blowing.
First you start off that the Bible is a fairy tale.
Then I ask you to prove it starting at Genesis 1:1.
Then you jump straight into the flood because you don't even know the sequence of any events in Genesis.
Then I point out a verse that you never knew existed that the flood was caused by rain and from the boiling subterranean waters.
And then I point out the obvious scientific fact that heat accelerates the aging process.
And then you go around in a loop.
Basically because you're not very bright.

And heat throws aging calculations into the toilet.
And yes, the verse is right there in the Bible and you continue to ignore it.
Are you that stupid?

There's no scientific proof for your subterranian waters story and you're "heat accelerates the aging process" is irrelevant to proving your subterranian waters. So basically, all you're left with is your childish insults, probably because you're frustrated that you can't even convince someone as apparently stupid as I am of your nonsense.

So can you prove scientifically that these time periods are wrong because of your heat story? No? You're just going to keep calling me names? Oh, ok, that's what I thought.

All you are left with is ignoring any possibility that does not match your mindset.
The Malbim, as I pointed out to you already, proposed this to his peer scientific community and was not ridiculed.

Not a "story" in my beliefs, but a way to live:

John 7:53-8:11

Then each of them went home,

8 while Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2 Early in the morning he came again to the temple. All the people came to him and he sat down and began to teach them. 3 The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery; and making her stand before all of them, 4 they said to him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of committing adultery. 5 Now in the law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” 6 They said this to test him, so that they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let anyone among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 And once again he bent down and wrote on the ground. 9 When they heard it, they went away, one by one, beginning with the elders; and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him. 10 Jesus straightened up and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” 11 She said, “No one, sir.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go your way, and from now on do not sin again.”

But clearly a person can arrive at that morality without the magical nonsense and without religious dogma. In fact, I assert that YOU arrived at that morality via other means, and you have merely found passages in the Bible to bolster it.

Ask the global warming experts, they know all about the weather from back then.
I think you're in the wrong thread?
...they would know all about the weather back then so it stands to reason they would know all about everything else.

By the grace of God, yes. Written words only supplement God's omnipotence.

Not by the grace of any gods or demons or spirits, but by reason alone. And you need to start spreading around some credit where it is due. You and many others arrive at good morality thanks to the secular ideas of classical liberalism and scientific enlightenment. That's why your morality is generaly better than Chriatians from 30p years ago, despite deferring to the same religiois text. It's clear to see. I am glad you don't abandon it and instead make your religion fit it.

My faith is not to be forced upon others. Nor do I expect all to adhere, Liberty of belief is paramount. Your faith is obvious, yet please allow others theirs.

Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NAB
If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.

I like that one ... take responsibility for your actions.

My favorite story is 1 kings 18 where Ezekiel had a bet who could get a response from their god with the priests of Ba al. Ezekiel set the bet up on the top of Mt Carmel. Whoever could get their god to zap a sacrifice with a lightning bolt would win. Ezekiel let the priests of Ba al go first. The Priests of Ba al did what they could for the entire morning and most of the afternoon. Nothing. About 3:30 Ezekiel sait "it's my turn now." He built a huge cairn, dowsed it with water(!) and began praying. In short order, a bolt of lightning came and zapped the sacrifice.
Ezekiel had been living on Mt Carmel for three years. He knew that about 4:00 often there was a lightning storm in top of Mt Carmel because of the Desert to the east and the Med to the west, and the high mt Carmel in the middle. he probably had noticed wet rocks and high altitude was guaranteed to get a lightning strike.

He set the bet conditions and had it all set up for him to win easily.

off topic

your picture reminds me of a favorite joke....

A wealthy man stopped in a ritzy high class gun store and asked to buy a shotgun. The sales clerk seeing his customers obvious wealth suggested a belgian model for 30,000. It was inlaid with gold and diamond sights. The customer said, "No, that is more than I want to spend"

Next the clerk said this british model for 10,000. The customer said no, not what he had in mind.

The clerk was annoyed and said "What about this Winchester over and under mass produced model for $275"

"That will do nicely" said the customer. "It is only a small wedding"

The same goes for anyone who can't go back in time.
What seems to really bother you is that the verses actually bring up a fact that you didn't know that could prove just as much about the Earth's age as your precious scientists.
