Guy, being rich is not a virtue.
Frankly, I've known rich people. Most of them are duller than dirt and not terribly interesting.

Just because she wrote her thesis on him doesn't mean she follows his philosophy. Or, if she did at that time, believe in his philosophy, it doesn't mean she does now. 1969 is a long time ago, and she has had a lot of direct experience in government to observe since then. Some people intellectually stuck on one idea for their entire lives, others are not.
