I believe the best position to take is one of defensive but reasonably generous neutrality. Do what you can to help but keep your doors locked and your borders closed. Accommodating refugees is comparable to inviting the homeless to pitch tents in your front yard. How long will it be before they will be climbing in your windows?

France, Germany and Sweden have accommodated Muslim refugees and we are witnessing the results of their generosity. Angela Merkel is not being molested by the Muslims she's invited onto German soil, nor are the political leaders in France and Sweden who decided that the open door policy is a good thing troubled in any way by the presence of ungrateful and aggressive barbarians. And when Barack Obama leaves the comfort and security of the White House he will step into an equally comfortable and secure upper class lifestyle where neither he nor any member of his family will ever be troubled by aggressive "refugees."
