The Butler is the perfect democrat party movie. It's about a Black man who knows his place and will never rise above being a butler for the rich successful politicians. It's a symbol of the democrat party plantation thinking where Black servants were well cared for and kept as little more than amusing personalities.

From what I've heard, other than the expected trashing and misrepresentation of President Reagan, the movie is pretty good.

I look forward to watching it when it comes out on DVD.

I'll wait for cable. No sense in spending my money on it.

The movie seems to be a remake of "The Help" with a man in the maid's role. The Help was a pretty good movie, just not worth the price of a ticket, or a DVD.

Because you don't spend money on cable which in turn doesn't spend money to air movies.

My observation...more than half of Stephanie's posts are saying how she doesn't care about the topic she took the time and effort to post about....several times.

The Entertainment industry is incapable of producing anything that doesn't have a political slant and undertones. Hell...they even threw that BS in The Lone Ranger. It gets old...but is expected anymore.

Main thing that keeps me home is knowing that for the amount of money it takes for a night at the movies ( usually with my kids)...we could plan a better more interesting outing to spend quality time together. Like going to see the Titanic Exhibit or a day at the zoo....plus lunch out as a bonus.

I doubt I will rent the DVD either...more than likely if I even watch it at all I will wait for it to come on TV.
