Well, well, well. It's OK for them to use the word...but just let the President (or Clarence Thomas) use it and all hell breaks loose.. Democrats always accuse others of what they themselves are doing or would do. It’s straight out of Saul Alinsky.

Nadler in 1998 Accused GOPs of Running ‘Lynch Mob’ Against Clinton

it was different times back then....

Yeah it was. Back then, Ken Starr wasn't so concerned about embarrassing details unrelated to Clinton's lie about a hummer he got being published.

"Perhaps no detail revealed in the Starr Report better illustrates this prosecutorial overkill than the decision to include a description of Clinton putting a cigar in Lewinsky’s vagina, then putting it in his own mouth and saying that it “tastes good” (3-31-96). The cigar incident would inspire countless jokes by late-night comics and greatly weakened the ability of the President to ever again be seen as “presidential.”

Much later it became a matter of considerable interest that at least one Starr staffer who argued for the humiliating level of sexual detail was a young attorney named Brett Kavanaugh."

Remembering the Starr Report As We Await the Mueller Report

Times sure have changed.
