Who would win?

Bear vs Gorilla. Who do you think would win? As far as I know, no one has actually witnessed such a contest. From what I know about both species, I'd have to say it would be a toss-up. What do you think?

Depends on what bear you're talking about. Black bears average like 250lbs, big ones I believe go up to 400-450. Grizzlies on the other hand go up to 900lb and the biggest was like 1200lb. Kodiaks can go to 1500lb. I believe the biggest gorillas are in the 450 range. My money is on the grizzlies and kodiaks for sure. Gorillas are incredibly strong but up against 900lb with 6in claws, game over IMHO.
