If Hillary is elected, the Republicans in Congress will set out to destroy her, and they will have plenty of ammo to do it with with all the emails and Wikileaks leaks that keep coming out. If Trump is elected, the Democrats and the mainstream media will attack him relentlessly. Either way, our nation is screwed. We will not have a President who can unite our nation in the face of the crises to come, i.e. Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, ISIS, the economy, energy policy, the deficit, the debt, etc.

That doesn't answer my question. Trump didn't raise or spend much money at all. He coasted on free publicity from the media. How the heck would different financing laws have changed that?
