Why are civilians being told not to help in hurricane relief?

Because they'll clog up the search and relief efforts. It ain't helping....if you're just getting in the way. The sentiment is nice but it's just a hinderance. Think the civilians hunting the shark in small boats in "Jaws". :)
Send money, send provisions (if asked).
The “get in the way” argument just doesn’t hold when, Clearly, there is a shortage of resources and private citizens are stepping up. The reality is that resources and priorities were not being managed optimally.

Democrats don’t want to look bad. That’s what this is all about (yet they loved piling on Trump and Republicans during COVID Pandemic).

You’re going off Twitter. Anyone can say anything on twitter
I am going off of first hand accounts from people that actually live in the disaster zones,,

you are going off of what the government tells you is happening and ignoring the people that are going through it,,

thats called being a useful idiot,,

What happens when a citizen drives all day to get to a relief site and out of gas?

Yeah. They “need” gas that should be going to victims and coordinated relief workers.

They require food and shelter.

They are in the way.

And that doesn’t even touch on drones flying around getting in the way of actual rescue efforts

You want to know what the victims of Helene need?

Access to showers, haircuts and laundry.

Disposable diapers.

Feminine Hygiene prodoucts

Food and water.

Disposable cell phones.

Used clothing.

Underwear Adults and children).

Socks and shoes.

Send money the American Red Cross. Avoid United Way.

But you want to be on the sidelines bitching, That is all MAGA is good for.

Show us an actual event or series of events in the North Carolina Helene efforts by private citizens that are hindering government?

If Republicans were in charge running the Federal efforts, I guarantee you wouldn’t have issues with private citizens helping. The ugly reality is that many of the emergency management resources and funding were spent to support the Democrats Open Border policies and they don’t want to be held accountable.

To me it is incomprehensible. Buttigieg has apparently stopped all civilian airplanes, helicopters and drones from being able to help with the hurricane search, rescue or help restore the supply chain. And now they're apparently stopping Elon Musk/Trump from helping provide communications with Starlink. How in the world does a good government stop good people from stepping up to help? For what purpose?

The FEMA website gushes glowing reports of all the wonderful and effective work they are doing in the Hurricane relief even as Mayorkas said FEMA is out of money--at least until he was instructed to stop saying it--while those on the ground on Day 8 after the hurricane first hit say they haven't seen FEMA personnel anywhere and the body count continues to pile up. Would the government lie on their FEMA website?

So what's going on? What is the Administration trying to hide? From the outside it looks like they are desperate to hide their incompetence, ineffectiveness and downright malfeasance in carrying out their responsibilities.

dimocraps are not only the scum of the Earth, they are incompetent

Elon Musk @elonmusk
Just received this note from a SpaceX engineer helping on the ground in North Carolina.
@FEMA is not merely failing to adequately help people in trouble, but is actively blocking citizens who try to help!
"Hey Elon, update here on site of Asheville, NC. We have powered up two large operating bases for choppers to deliver goods into hands. We've deployed 300+ starlinks and outpour is it has saved many lives.
The big issue is FEMA is actively blocking shipments and seizing goods and services locally and locking them away to state they are their own. It's very real and scary how much they have taken control to stop people helping. We are blocked now on the shipments of new starlinks coming in until we get an escort from the fire dept. but that may not be enough."

FEMA whistleblowers accuse Mayorkas of illegally appropriating FEMA funds for non-approved uses:

GOP
@GOP

Kamala Harris's FEMA allocated over $1 billion in the past 2 years "to provide humanitarian services to noncitizen migrants following their release from the Department of Homeland Security."
Kamala Harris is not for you.

Again, it is in reference to restricting airspace. Not turning away volunteers from helping to rescue.
Honestly, have you people no shame? :) It's starting to border on pathetic.
