1- you think a large portion of your base are too stupid to get an ID and vote. Which in your racist view would have to mean you think black people are just incapable of getting an ID and doing a basic function of everyday life white people do all the time.

2- you know voter ID cuts into your fraudulent vote scheme. With voter ID cheating gets much harder and you’re going to lose votes.

If you are to demand voter ID provide it. Provide it to each and every voter.

Photo ID is no help at all.
Photo ID is as easy to fake as any ID, if the polling station does not have record access.
And polling station do not and can never have access to things like driver's license.

The only ID that is useful at polling stations, are ones they can lookup and verify.
And that is ONLY the voter registration card.
And there is no reason to make that a more expensive photo ID, because since the polling station can look it up, it can't be faked.
The only way a person can misuse a voter registration card is if they secretly steal one from the actual owner, and the actual owner does not notice because they did not vote.

So there is no need for any additional ID or change in voting procedures.
All you have to do is ensure every voter shows the voter registration card.
