:dunno:

The Fed Gov does nothing but tax us, ignore the invasion of foreign nationals trying to reclaim the land for Mexico, attempt to import terrorists from war-torn parts of the world at our expense, and handcuff our local lawmakers who try to protect us.

Make an argument for why we need a Fed Gov, because right now, it seems pretty useless to me.

We need different levels of government to perform different functions

I don't want the Federal Government plowing the road in front of my house
But I don't want my town to have to chip in to buy a billion dollar ship

Foreign affairs? National security? Interstate commerce? The environment? Lotsa reasons why we need a federal gov't, and TBW when did any foreign nationals try to reclaim land for Mexico? No question our federal gov't is doing a poor job of governance, but the solution is not to disband it.

I know what you're saying. But this could be a laundry list of duties the Fed Gov has sucked at performing, neglected, failed at, and has been in whole-sale derelict.

At some point, STATES, not people, MUST hold the Fed Gov accountable or demand that the Union be dissolved. Enough with the bullshit.

We need various levels of Government and functions should be performed at the level that is most effective and efficient

That is the value of living in a society. We can collectively do things cheaper and better as a group than we can as individuals.

Makes more sense to have the Federal Government do something once than have fifty states try to do it independently

We need a federal government to raise a military, have a common currency, keep dangerous products off the market, children out of sweat shops, keep our water and air safe, and to keep the states from terrorizing each other. This last government tried to subvert the American way of life in so many ways they should all be hanged. One day the leftists will realize how close we came to a communist dictatorship. It was averted thanks to Donald Trump.
