When did it all change?

When did America no longer identify with the Founders, the love of the individual and liberty....and embrace communism, slaughter, and the collective.

The timeline is clear.
Franklin Roosevelt's regime was the pivotal point in the change.

He knew of the government-created famine, the slaughter of the Romanovs, the Katyn Forest slaughter, the show trials and the purges....he was even warned by Wm. Bullitt, his own ambassador to Moscow, but refused to distance America from Stalin.

Yes...I'll prove it to you. First...let's fill in your history lacunae...

1. Remember that communism, Karl Marx, goes back to mid19th century....and took over Russia early in the 20 century. Not long after, it had cells and well organized branches in almost every western nation. From the start, they knew the value of psychological indoctrinations.


2. In the early years after the Bolshevik Revolution, the communists used manipulations, such as the Potemkin Villages, to persuade the world how admirable and successful the revolution had been. One technique was to invite prominent American and British leftists to take carefully planned tours. And these ‘Potemkin Progressives,’ for the most part, behaved and thought just as they were meant to.

a. Lenin, and then Stalin, carefully arranged the tours so that these progressives would then go back to their countries and praise Soviet Russia, so that the citizens would demand that Russia be recognized....'worker's paradise' and all.

H.G. Wells met with Stalin in 1934, and wrote “I’ve never met a man more candid, fair and honest!” and “…everyone trusts him!’ And of Lenin, “…frank, refreshing, and an amazing little man!’

George Bernard Shaw met with Stalin, as well. He returned, and wrote, “ We cannot afford to give ourselves moral airs when our most enterprising neighbors, the Soviet Union, humanely and judiciously liquidates a handful of exploiters and speculators to make the world safe for honest men.” He parroted the exact line that Stalin had given him!

And, of course, John Dewey.

I myself am more of a socialist. But not a communist. I believe that if a person has more value to society, they should have more than others. Though not as much as they can possibly get as it is in our capitalist system. Also, unless I'm mistaken, the communist idea is that all people share equally. Plumber, doctor, it doesn't matter. It amazes me that anybody could have such a stupid political-economic view.

Don't quibble.....there is only one difference between communists and socialists, as both favor the collective over the individual, the very opposite of the view of our Founders.

1. The devil, as usual, is in the details. The unspoken and unrecognized assumption is that there exists some mechanism that can distribute goods and services. The only such mechanism is, and must be, the totalitarian state.
   1. To believe this, one must accept that there exists some equation by which the state can fairly and honestly control human exchange. Here we go: increasing taxes to increase programs to increase happiness to allow equality…all of which ends up in dictatorship.
   2. There is the adolescent standing aside the street sweeper, who presents himself to government demanding compensation based on his needs, or his goodness, in equality to the physician…urging on him the courage to demand his equal pay! The Leftist has a simple prescription for the inequality of pay…you, the taxpayer, pay him more. David Mamet, "The Secret Knowledge."

Allow me to introduce myself. Your GOD! Everything you have to say is utterly meaningless. For example, I ran across a thread from somebody who was banned. Though I left a reply anyway for anybody else who may read it. In it, I wondered if the person who wrote the thread was aware that this is a political forum. Nobody who is interested in politics is interested in the truth. That is, apart from me.

But just for the hell of it, I will play along. A little over a hundred years ago, somebody basically said, "The more things change, the more they stay the same." It doesn't really matter if you're a republican, communist, socialist, imperialist or whatever. As for our system of government, even Thomas Jefferson knew that it was ultimately unworkable. That is why he basically said, "From time to time, the tree of liberty will need to be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." With the "tyrant" part, do you know who he was talking about? The wealthy. With the "patriots" part, do you know who he was talking about? The poor.

One of the problems is that our whole system of government, as others, is based on slavery. But capitalism and communism are basically the two extremes. For me, socialism is an acceptable middleground. Unfortunately, if I told you what I really think, I would probably get banned. I have been at other forums. So I won't bother you with any more replies. Because you don't want to know the truth. And judging from the forums I have been banned from, the moderators don't want me to speak it. So just go on and pretend that what you have to say makes any difference.

We have communism in America. We have communist rule in politics. We've lost the right to privacy in order for the government to spy on its own citizens. Our everyday lives are dictated by the government. Our government owns everything we have ( taxation ). Look at eminent domain laws. Look at the requirement to show ID upon request. Look at innocent citizens in our prisons and jails. Look at the number of cameras everywhere, watching everybody and everything. Look at restrictions on worship and prayer in public schools. Look at government created poverty. Look at the dependency of the poor on government.

What do communist countries do that's not being done in America?

Mass murder, famines, conscription, forced abortions...
