A lot of younger people who think SS wont be there for them, or that they could have invested what SS takes from there pay checks & made more money, are not looking at the whole picture. if you had invested your retirement money before 201 most would have lost big time in the crash, if there was no SS many would been having to fully support an ageing parent or family member. all or nothing thinking not the wise choice.

Yes I STILL think that way, that is the limited thinking part, for those that think SS should die because they think they wont get any, need to consider that many of these to young to retire people would be supporting or helping support parents or other family members if there was no SS.

So lets say instead of $500 a month starting at 67 I get $300 starting at 62. So I'll get $300 a month for 5 years. That's $10K I'll get before I'm 67. I'm not going to wait till 67 and then I die when I'm 68. I'll take what money they are willing to give as soon as they are willing to give it. What a load of crap

I can't tell you how many times Republicans I know have been

1. Against welfare then ended up on welfare
2. Against Bill Clinton cheating but then voted for Trump
3. Against social security and medicare but then they are broke and need both programs
4. Against the ACA then they have to have a fund raiser to pay for their spouses or kids cancer treatments
5. Against unemployment benefits but then when the 5 months were up they went in for an extension. This after saying they would work at McDonalds before they collected unemployment benefits.
