Will Republicans ever learn? Indiana governor to sign bill allowing business not to serve gays

Poor Pense....all his buddies told him it was a good idea when he signed it

9 Ind. CEOs call for changes to religious freedom law

A who's who of central Indiana corporate leaders called on Gov. Mike Pence and legislative leaders to reform the newly passed Religious Freedom Restoration Act so it can't be used to "justify discrimination based upon sexual orientation or gender identity."
The one-page letter was released Monday afternoon after being hand-delivered to Pence, the state's House Speaker Brian Bosma and Senate President David Long, all Republicans.
The nine CEO signatories head some of the state's largest employers, including Eli Lilly, Anthem and Indiana University Health. They are part of a coalition of businesses that has lobbied against the controversial RFRA legislation, marking one of the most active and heated political lobbying campaigns that Indiana businesses have ever undertaken on a social issue.

Hey dude. which part was the supposed lie? Did they write and pass this bill? Sure they did. No lie there.
Do they want business owners to be able to refuse to serve people based on some discriminatory criteria? Sure they do. No lie there.
Are there a number of CEO's and other business types who are not happy with this? Sure there are. No lie there.

Where is that lie dude? The only lie I have been hearing is from people like you who are now claiming that the true intent of the law is not what the true intent of the law was.

This law just sounded so good in the echo chamber of Repub politics in Indiana. But it sure sucks now that it's been exposed for what it is.

Liar. False. Fake. Get a life. The only people that want some gay to be discriminated against is the left so they can dance around and piss on everyone while they circle jerk in excitement.

Things are moving along as expected

Business and sports executives are already showing their displeasure with Indiana
Final 4 is this weekend and a major sporting event is being disrupted by an unnecessary distraction
Indy 500 is next month.......plenty of time for sponsors to pull out

Only you Moon Bats and your extreme far Left talking heads on MSNBC gives a shit. Real Americans could care less. Educated Americans applaud Indiana for protecting the right of freedom of religion.

Just remember that Florida has a similar law and no discrimination law against queers so live up to your convictions and just stay the hell out of my state. No Disney World, Daytona Beach, Kennedy Space Center or Key West for you.

Then why won't Pense just come out and say the law does not apply to gays?

Come on RKM...you're smarter than this. Look at who was at the signing ceremony and tell me that this bill wasn't about discriminating against gays. It was the intent of the bill from the get go.

The citizenry has not been fooled. It was written in such a way as to be able to discriminate against gays. When amendments were offered that would have prevented such abuse, they were rejected. Other states with religious rights protection laws have protections against such abuses. All those laws are now under scrutiny and being reviewed. No state wants to have the Indiana status. The losses in revenue to the state are beginning to add up to tens of millions and are increasing daily and even hourly as commercial interest run away from association with the state.

Then why don't they say so in the bill?

Save them alot of grief

"Those whose religion forbids autopsies have been subjected to mandatory autopsies. Those who want churches close to where they live have seen churches zoned out of residential areas. Those who want the freedom to design their churches have seen local governments dictate the configuration of their building." The law would end these infringements upon religious liberty.Al Gore at The White House RFRA signing ceremony 1993

You'll notice that "Those who bake cakes have been forced to bake them for gay couples" is not included in there.

Honestly, how can you ignore the facts? Pence refuses to answer the question as to whether this would enable LGBT discrimination. Pence refused to disclose who was at the signing ceremony for this bill that you claim isn't about discriminating against gays. Not to mention, the crafters of the bill as much admitted that's what it was about.

Sorry but you are wrong.

The Florida Religious Restoration Act of 1998 is almost identical to the one passed in Indiana. It is applicable across the board to include all activities in the state, including commerce.

Also there is no statewide sexual orientation anti discrimination law.

According to you stupid and silly little Moon Bats Florida is as bad or worse than Indiana.

Live up to your convictions and stay the hell out of Florida.
