Despite his calls for greater gun control, including a new assault weapons ban that extends to handguns, President Obama's administration has turned away from enforcing gun laws, cutting weapons prosecutions some 40 percent since a high of about 11,000 under former President Bush.

"In response to Mr. Baker's comments, Vice-President Biden said, "And to your point, Mr. Baker, regarding the lack of prosecutions on lying on Form 4473s, we simply don't have the time or manpower to prosecute everybody who lies on a form, that checks a wrong box, that answers a question inaccurately."

Again... all you people that have hysterically pushed for more laws so that more Americans are prevented from legally owning guns all because
RARE, EXCEPTIONAL twice a year over the past 31 years events that resulted in 8 deaths per year... can you at least admit this is a total over reaction to
events that don't happen EVERY DAY! They have happened 1 every 6 months ! Unbelievable that hysteria rules when common sense is abandoned!
And all the while all of you are oblivious to the 15 million killed every year.. 1.2 million a month..4,204 per day.. and you don't find that wrong???

IMHO - it will depend on how successful the NRA is at writing legislation (and bribing friendlies to introduce it) that guts the enforcement.

The anti-gun loons depend on the failure of the gun laws they put in place -- it allows them to propose more gun laws designed to help enforce the laws that failed. Rinse, repat.

Given that they want the laws to fail, why would you think the laws would be effectively enforced?

Let me repeat as you totally ignored this FACT!

And EVEN BIDEN admits they aren't enforcing existing laws ... SO what the f..k will happen when MORE LAWS ARE WRITTEN???

That's right: Biden said the administration just doesn't have time to prosecute crimes
(felonies punishable by up to a 10-year prison sentence) under existing laws, but is proposing a host of sweeping new laws.
NRA-ILA | Biden says Administration Doesn't Have Time to Prosecute People Who Lie on Background Checks

Folks... we don't need more laws.. because as Biden attests.. they can't prosecute those laws today so why would more laws make any difference?
