Woman suing Obamacare exchange-dies

Under the Pre-ACA capitalistic health insurance model, her brain tumor would have made her uninsurable for the rest of her life, with no options at all.

She already had insurance, numskull.

Oddly enough, the article says nothing about her having insurance, unless you are talking about what she got through ACA, dickwad.

I know you think you have a point, but the fact is that it was the government that employed Xerox, thus it was a government operation., not capitalism.

The extent to which you are wrong is only exceeded by the extent to which you don't know you're wrong.

That is it, root for the world to burn so your far left masters can be right!

I am sure you have proof of your comments that does not come from far left blog sources..

As a health insurance underwriter for 50 years, I can personally assure you that no insurance company would have insured someone with a brain tumor. That is what insurance underwriters did for a living. Decline people with pre-existing health conditions. Anyone with even a smattering of knowledge about ACA knows that declining people for pre-existing conditions was made illegal under ACA. There really WAS a reason that health insurance applications included all those health questions. It wasn't just idle curiosity on the part of the insurance company.

Woman With Cancer Loses ?World-Class? Insurance Plan Because of Obamacare | TheBlaze.com

Another example..

http://healthblog.ncpa.org/woman-dies-waiting-for-obamacare-policy/

this woman’s family policy was canceled by the ObamaCare regulations. She fell ill while waiting for her ObamaCare policy to take effect on February 2. In hindsight, she “should have gone to see a doctor,” but instead decided to wait so that her husband and four children wouldn’t be burdened by avoidable medical expenses.

The author of the article, her brother, concludes that the ObamaCare debate for his family ended “with the death of my sister. For us, it’s not about “policy,” anymore. It’s about the tragic consequences that can happen when the government decides to cancel the private economic decisions of individuals in favor of a huge policy experiment created in the back rooms of Washington by out-of-touch bureaucrats, statisticians and lobbyists.”

Before this President screwed with it, she had insurance- insurance that she liked and that she wanted to keep

Link to her having insurance before Obamacare. The article mentions nothing about that.

And the federal exchange caused no delays; they had troubles with their state's insurance exchange.

The Las Vegas woman died Monday, less than two weeks after her family went public with details about Nevada Health Link insurance exchange enrollment troubles
But I know. It's all Obama the boogie man's fault. Boo!

Does the fact that it was run by a state make it not about the government? Or are you just so desperate to defend Obamacare that you says stupid things?

Well first of all, it's not about government because a private company screwed up on the paperwork, not any govt - state or federal. That makes it not about Obamacare. Also, there's no proof that this woman had insurance to begin with. So, if she never had insurance, how is Obamacare to blame for her death?

Rather be burdened with medical bills than a funeral bill...

If it were socialism it would be handled by the government...not a private company like Xerox. Hence, Capitalism.

It was handled by the government, hence...?

Nope, It was handled by Xerox, who was contracted by the State government to build the exchanges. Xerox screwed the pooch, not the government.

Xerox got the contract, that's capitalism...like when Boeing get a contract.

Damn, you are stupid. The government holds you responsible if you hire a contractor that cuts down a tree with a endangered bird nest in it, but they are not responsible if they hire a contractor? How the fuck does that work, idiot?

LOL, how? Xerox was handling her information and failed to inform her...how is that the governments fault?

How is it not? Didn't the government select Xerox, and pay them to misinform her?

No...they paid them to set up the exchanges. Xerox staff missinformed her. Xerox =/= government. In fact it's a publicly traded multinational corporation, the exact opposite of government.

Yeah, we get it, rule number one, the government is never wrong.

Because, if you hire a contractor that screws up the environment,we know the government will never go after you.

The extent to which you are wrong is so great that it will echo through the entire universe for all eternity.

Another idiot that thinks that a contractor mistake doesn't in any way impact the people that hired the contractor. The next time someone gets sued because a contractor screws up and dumps toxic waste in the water supply I expect you to step in and defend the corporation that hired the contractor.

Actually, I don't.

Linda Rolain's enrollment troubles kept her from treatment in January for an aggressive brain tumor, has died.

Woman in class-action lawsuit against Xerox dies | Las Vegas Review-Journal

Rolain’s husband, Robert, said the couple began trying to sign up in November, well ahead of the Dec. 15 deadline for January coverage. After wrestling with repeated sign-up problems, the Rolains bought a plan that took effect in March. But they said Xerox staffers miscommunicated the policy’s effective date, so they didn’t know until May that they had coverage.

Linda Rolain was first diagnosed with a brain tumor in early 2014, after a seizure in late 2013. Robert Rolain said in a June 19 news conference at the downtown Las Vegas offices of Callister, Immerman and Associates that his wife’s care was delayed for months because of their insurance troubles.

Robert Rolain alleges his wife’s tumor went from treatable in winter to fatal in spring as the couple fought for coverage.

Linda Rolain was admitted to hospice care in early June.

This is SOCIALISM.. Take a good look.

The reason thay your opinions don't matter is because,

A). The artricle clearly states that it is Xerox that is being sued.

B). The artice clearly states that Xerox was the contractor for Nevada's healt care exchange. Xerox is a "free market" company. You can even buy stock in it.

C) The federal govt exchange, which is often erroneously called "Obamacare" is

https://www.healthcare.gov

That has nothing to do with Nevada or Xerox.

D) Even then, healthcare.gov isn't "Obamacaree". At best ot would be the PPACA, a law that was passed by the federalies.

I believe the term that applies here is " doesnt know her ass from a hole in the ground.

Oh, and E) Regarding what was popularly refered to as Obamacare, healthcare.gov; "The [Nevada] exchange’s board decided in May to replace Xerox as the health link’s contractor. The exchange will borrow federal eligibility and enrollment functions in November while it looks for a permanent replacement system for 2015’s enrollment session.

So, it seems that they are going with the federal version, the " Obamacare" one.

your board name suits you well, the decision to use it must have been easy for you ... kudos.

That is not socialism, it is health care insurance.

The death is a tragedy.

Tell us about the 30 thousand that die from infections in private hospitals yearly.

And many other thousands of deaths of malpractice.

How dare you trivialize this woman's death.:eusa_hand:

Nevada decided to drop its exchange in favor of the federal one, yet, somehow, this isn't about Obamacare.

Because you have to get permission to sue the government, and Xerox is an easy target.
