Woodstock Occurred in the Middle of a Pandemic

So we have no idea how this virus spreads. Really?
Obviously we don't have a complete understanding of the virus or you wouldn't be perplexed by the fact that hundreds of spring break partiers were all on Florida beaches, in defiance of social distancing bunk,
and not a one has reported any adverse reactions.
You just don't get it.

Why are we handling this pandemic so differently?
More going on than just germs
“In 1968/69,” says Nathaniel L. Moir in National Interest, “the H3N2 pandemic killed more individuals in the U.S. than the combined total number of American fatalities during both the Vietnam and Korean Wars.”
Woodstock happened during the summer. The pandemic occurred during the winter months. Sorry, but that just doesn't track.

Multinational Impact of the 1968 Hong Kong Influenza Pandemic: Evidence for a Smoldering Pandemic

America did not have 24/7 news media striking fear into th population like they have today. Also at that time Americans ere not s easily panicked as they are today.
From the article:
In fact, people have no memory or awareness that the famous Woodstock concert of August 1969 – planned in January during the worse period of death – actually occurred during a deadly American flu pandemic that only peaked globally six months later. There was no thought given to the virus which, like ours today, was dangerous mainly for a non-concert-going demographic.

None of that changes the fact that the pandemic WAS NOT on during the concert. Whatever you may think of the news coverage, there's a lot of truth to it, unlike the article which attempts to twist history, instead of giving the story straight.

Soooooo....we just throw caution to the wind because of something that happened in 1968/9?

Fuck all the people that are so easily panicked.... they would rather cower in their houses hoping for the next government check to arrive than go out and face the world, go back to work and bring the economy back to life. Some here refer to fighting the virus as a war. The people that refuse to open the country back up are fine with the government taking away their rights and putting them under house arrest. These people would be the ones that would just take America's submission to China as the way it has to be. They are the true Traitors. My feelings would be the same no matter who the President was.
