Great article but we would not need to use nukes to destroy massed armored vehicles, just like we didnt need to against Iraq in 1991. We had something like a dozen M1's obliterate a group of like 300 T-72's without need of aircraft support. Our air and artillery munitions that are specialized in taking out armored columns could also do a very effective job in one salvo.

The sending of the Frigate Admiral Grigorovich was a defensive move as it is primarily an electronic warfare frigate, not an offensive ship. One of our Arleigh class destroyers could easily overwhelm it and we have two there.


This 'warship' was sent to give the Syrian government a heads up in case of more missile strikes. That is to be expected since Assad is a Russian ally and they have to assist the allies, just like we do.
