You Gonna Fly On a 737?

Every country but the US has grounded them
Trump just grounded them, so what's your fucking problem?
Yu little Trump bots were just saying we SHOULDN"T ground them...

You're an embarrassment to sycophants
When did I say that, shit for brains?

What some people have said is that it isn't obviously necessary to ground them. If the hazard can easily be mitigated, I would agree. However, I don't know all the details of the issue, and neither to do you.

The bottom line is that Trump has grounded them after the 2nd accident occurred. No one grounded them after the first.

It's a non-issue.

Trump grounded the planes after talking to all parties, not just a knee jerk reaction. Very responsible and fair.
Exactly!
That’s what I love about Trump. He considers all the facts before making important decisions.
Like the people he hires?
Like Trump, I’m good with giving people a chance.

Why won't he seem to give a chance to ETHICAL people?

His knee jerk reaction was not to ground them, which is why we were last to make that descision.
How many people died as a result?

Zero thankfully - lets roll the roulette again!
Ethical people in the government? Surely you jest!

My brother used to have a Pinto. When hit in the rear, that model was prone to explode. The solution was to get out of people's way, so that they did not hit you in the rear. That made it a driver problem, not a automobile problem....:abgg2q.jpg:
I believe I read that the Pinto exploding gas tanked turned out to be a media hoax - fake news, in other words.

not fake news, just blown out of proportion (forgive the pun)

True. Manufacturers make calculations like these about every known defect in their product. A perfectly safe product is simply not possible.

Read through the thread stupid. Trumper tards were falling all over themselves defending NOT grounding these planes and saying it wasn't necessary.

You fuckers are the sycophant's sycophants

That's capitalism baby. Most people would be a little stunned to know that Ford held meetings to determine the economic feasibility of a $15 fix for exploding Pinto gas tanks. They found that the fix would cost more than the lawsuits from the dead burned people. So of course they didn't make that fix and people burned/

Nice huh?

It probably wasn't necessary if the FAA felt it wasn't. However, Trump took the safest course of action politically.

That's also socialism, moron. It's a fact of reality. Costs of a proposal always have to be weighed against the cost of the alternative. Only economic dumbasses like you believe that decisions don't involve trade offs.

I'll be the first to say that a lot of this nation is based around socialism already.

THAT is not even close to an example of it. That's pure capitalism. Putting a monetary value on human life...comparing the cost of law suits against probable harm...is pure greed. That's capitalism

I don't agree with Trump's order to ground the planes (and I would feel the same if a Dem POTUS gave the order).

I believe in free enterprise. People are not stupid, they can make sure the aircraft they are booked on is an 8 or 9 MAX and decide for themselves whether to fly on them or not.

I am sick and tired of governments trying to hold people's hands. Inform the people of all pertinent information AND LET THEM DECIDE FOR THEMSELVES.

What's next, banning all dangerous activities? No more skydiving or car/bike racing? No more smoking? Sex is illegal without a condom? J walking becomes a serious crime? I guarantee you they are all more dangerous then flying on one of these planes.

Both the Southwest Airlines and United Airlines pilots unions have no problem with the aircraft and see no reason to ground them. They would know better than almost anyone.
Southwest has over 41,000 flights with the 737 MAX and United over 23,000 flight hours on their MAX 9's...both with no incidents as described with the two crashes.

Pilots and flight attendants weigh in on Boeing 737 Max 8 planes

So that is zero related incidences in about 50,000+ flights. 50,000:1 against a crash? I'll take those odds any day of the week on anything.

I say this is extreme, world overreaction...period. Another PC decision for a PC decade.

And I am positive almost all of you disagree. Libs who want safety above everything and cons who agree with almost everything Trump does.

BTW, I own no stock in major US Airlines or in Boeing.

Well, by god, put the lead back into gasoline, and let the people decide whether or not to buy it! And as for the 737's, if one falls on your house, then you should have chosen to live in central Alaska!

The government is fixing the software? You got idea how stupid that sounds.

Christ you are almost as stupid as Bripat

The FAA. did nothing for 5 weeks and Boeing is a ...wait for it...GOVERNMENT CONTRACTOR

Wait...so you defended him NOT grounding these planes as if your lives depended on it and now you're all good with it?

Do you wait to find out how he feels about your bowels before you take a dump?
Too funny.

The plane is grounded based on outcry and unvetted fears, not because the plane is unsafe.

When the hysteria finally passes, the FAA will quietly put the plane back into the air and set a program to update the software.

Boeing is a private corporation that sells planes to the government. In fact, it sells planes to multiple governments.

Thank you. It is amazing the safety record of the industry and this aircraft. A couple of back to back accidents that will likely be attributed to pilot error, and they lose their fucking minds.

I'd fly on one of these right now, but of course, now mass hysteria has set in and government overreacts yet again.

Trump caved. The second time this year. Its almost like he is starting to enjoy it.

I think you have the order reversed. At least in a normal world.
