Sort of along the same lines. While up in the mountains of NC saw a buck and two does on the farm. Talking to some locals they said the deer were coming back after being very distressed. I asked why they had become so scarce and then came back. One old timer said in the old days when you got out of school you would grab your rifle and go out squirrel hunting or other hunting and now the kids come home and play video games. Between that and drugs and wimpy ass parents and a culture that demeans work young boys ain’t ever gonna become men.

past time for the parents to take juniors toys away and kick him out.

Exactly, it's a case of bad parenting. No way my son will be living in my house at 22 if he's not working. In fact, I don't know that I'll let him live with us at 22 even if he is working.

I tell my kids, at least 6 times a year, that at 18 and post HS, they need to have one of these plans ready;
plan to go to college
plan to join the service
or
plan to be homeless
