That's a lot a commentary and not a lot of insight. Point to any medical institution in any part of the world you like that recommends trying to counsel trans children into accepting a gender identity that is at odds with how they actually feel.

And 5 years ago you couldn't find many "medical institutions" that recommended surgery and life-long hormone treatments for kids who felt uncomfortable in their pubescent bodies, to the point that the state needed to strip parents of their custodial rights. Now, all of sudden, they're ALL jumping on the bandwagon?

Greg Abbott and Texas Republicans want to strip parental rights for parents and their children who want puberty blockers and hormone treatments. Contrast that with liberal school policy and all they're doing there is protecting student privacy.
