YUGE WINNING! Obama's Un-American Mandate Repealed...

Slavery to government. Many liberal states are now taxing businesses regardless of whether the business makes a profit or not. Did you only break even this year, tough shit pay us. Property taxes on machinery, desk, chairs, paper clips, oh did you lose money this year tough shit pay us.
Shit dude, they want money so bad they implemented a penny per ounce tax on dtinks in Chicago. These fks couldn’t give two shits on their constituents. Again, demolosers are evil people! They don’t want Americans to have money.

It used to be Dem vs Rep, no longer. Its state politicians and their pals in the public employee unions vs taxpayers. State and local politicians collude with public employee unions to raise taxes on the people, they give the money to the public employee unions, the unions in return kick back part of the money to the politicians and help them get reelected...so they can raise taxes more and the cycle continues.

Some cities destroyed themselves with this shit. The businesses packed up and left, then anyone who could packed up and left, pretty much just the deadbeats remained. They made all these promises to the public employee unions they can no longer for so the public employee unions start suing the cities, counties, state.
IMHO no union should be allowed in public government.. Unions protect worthless people and are corrupt. A public service commission that is over seen by elected officials is the way to go. Keeps special interests out of the peoples pockets..

President Roosevelt agrees with you, and warned against this. HUGE conflict of interest and virtually guarantees corruption and enslavement of the people to government.
That was Roosevelt

Yes even the 'new deal' president knew insanity when he saw it.

Did you know that in some states it is the fiduciary duty of the governor to represent the taxpayers in negotiations with public employee unions, the governor is supposed to be on our side the taxpayers. Instead liberal governors collude with the unions to screw over the taxpayers. That's why Christie won in NJ the people in both parties were fed up with this shit.

Who really cares if anyone purchases health insurance most of the ones that have it now want it and the die-hards have gone without and may have paid the penalty.

Correct, it was never about having everybody insured. The goal of Commie Care was to create as many new government dependents as possible. The more government dependents, the more likely Democrat voters.

Then you have the ones that wanted it but could not afford it, but yet have their cable, internet, smartphones, etc.

Yes they do, and if they got rid of everything, they would probably save about two hundred bucks. How is two hundred bucks going to get you insurance that costs $750.00 a month?

And how is hiding the true cost of healthcare behind government subsidies fixing anything?

Because then they can convince their fellow socialists that the plan is working. Look! I sweep floors at Walmart, and thanks to Obama Care, I can now get coverage for fifty dollars a month!

They really believe they are paying their "fair share" and that Obama came out with some brilliant plan to reduce healthcare costs. The reality is that other people who make more money than they do are the ones who are paying for their healthcare insurance.

IF I took 300.00 a month and put it in a HEALTH CARE medical account I could pay for my own damn health care for decades. And a low cost catastrophic policy would cover getting diabetes or other long term issues.. And it would cost a damn site less than the BS democrats forced down our throats.. we could negotiate with docs to get a decent price for services too.. 60% of costs would go away in nothing flat.. but that would leave dems and special interests without money.. not a bad trade off.. IMHO

What they should do is put people with preexisting conditions on Medicare. Let them buy into a Medicare plan like people who are on disability. The plans are very affordable and it would remove all the high risk customers from the insurance rolls which would reduce premiums considerably.

This is one hell of a thread, we are getting even with the blue states bull shit..:)

Then there is the damage to the healthcare industry, a part of Obamacare was reducing what doctors are paid. I know doctors who throw Medicaid paperwork in the trash because it cost them more to file the claim to get paid than Medicaid actually pays them.

I was at a local medical imaging center waiting for a CT scan. This man in a wheelchair and his wife came in, the man didn't look like he was doing well, I think he was missing a leg. They came in for an MRI and were turned away because they did not accept Medicaid. The guys wife said we have been all over (liberal caring) Portland, OR and nobody will accept Medicaid. I felt sorry for the guy, but that's your government healthcare right there.

There would need to be limitations on that as single payer would be the end result.

Well, considering the GOP lied to us for eight years about Repeal & Replace, maybe their flock will find a way to celebrate this remarkable and absolutely game-changing achievement.
The Mandate is gone. It was Un-American. The ultimate Big Government abuse of power. So i have to thank the GOP and Trump. They delivered.
Okay, how will this help? Walk me through it.

It is a Civil Rights issue...the Government can't force you to buy something.....

Nolte: Obamacare Mandate Repeal Is the Most Important Civil Rights Victory in Years - Breitbart

Going all the way back to 2009, it was obvious Obamacare would end up looking like a Rube Goldberg machine powered by totalitarianism. Who would have ever guessed, though, it was such a fiasco that the mandate would actually cost the government money — a delicious irony that would result in its undoing.
It works like this…

For the sin of being born, Obamacare mandates that every American purchase health insurance. If we do not purchase this totally unnecessary, godawful product (more on this below), we are required by law to pay a hefty tax to the federal government.

Somehow, and I do not really care how, this tax actually costs the government money, some $340 billion — with a “B” — every ten years.

Only Bill Ayers’ pal and his merry band of congressional nincompoops could crawl so far up their own backsides that they were able to find a tax that increases the deficit.

But thank heavens they did. Had they not, the Senate would not have repealed the mandate Friday night.

After the humiliation of failing to keep their defining promise to repeal Obamacare, the Senate turned to tax reform, which also looked sketchy due to deficit projections. But then the clouds parted and the stars aligned with the discovery that repealing the Obamacare mandate would save the government this $340 billion.

Talk about a win-win. Here was a way to kill the most hated (and crucial) part of Obamacare and pass tax cuts. And that is exactly what happened — the American people won a sweet two-fer: lower taxes and freedom from a fascist mandate.

------------

If I purchase a car, I am voluntarily taking on certain civic responsibilities that require the purchase of insurance. I have no problem with that. The Obamacare mandate is something altogether different.

For no other reason other than the fact I am born, the mandate is the federal government forcing me to buy something. This is nothing less than a legalized violation of my civil rights.

Forget the fact that Obamacare so over-regulates the insurance industry that we are now required to purchase a ridiculously expensive, one-size-fits-all Cadillac plan with a deductible so sky-high most of us will never use it. That is the least of this outrage, and something the Senate still needs to fix.

What I am talking about is the principle of the state forcing you to purchase something for your own good and for the good of others.

Sorry to be crude, but f**k that.

Setting a precedent that allows the government to force me to buy something for my own good is as un-American as it gets. What if studies show that the key to a long life is owning a Bible and gun? Is it okay with you Obamacare fans if Trump and Co. mandates the purchase of those?

So now go after the car insurance mandate and I will belive your civil rights stance.

Apples and oranges. My mother never had auto insurance, neither did her parents. That's because none of them ever drove a car before. If you don't want to pay auto insurance, then you don't have to drive. You don't have that choice with healthcare.
Bull shit ya get caught driving with insurance and ya lose your lisence. Not apples and oranges, there is a penalty for not having it. In my state it means jail time.

Regulating an industry to death... and the people are the ones who suffer.. Dump the mountain of regs and let the people decide whom they want their care from. Give those on Medicaid a card and let the doctors and patients do what they need to.. Costs would decrease by simply getting government out of the way and a reasonable amount being taken from the patient based on income.

The biggest issue is common economic literacy. Learning how to budget and save money. something foreign to banks interests and charge accounts and the reason they don't want it taught in school.

Every one of my kids was given a book for their 18th birthday called 'The Total Money Make Over'. IT teaches financial responsibility and how to do it.. Best 5 bucks I ever spent..

Violating the law results in monetary consequences first in every state.. they are called FINES not taxes and are adjudicated unlike commie care who just seizes it though the IRS... IT violates the US Constitution and due process, something you libs ignore.. Two very different things..

This is particularly true in lower income neighborhoods where kids are brought up in single-family households. You're missing the key point which is driving is an option. What's the option if you can't afford healthcare insurance---kill yourself?

It's the same thing if you own a home. You can't get or continue a mortgage unless you have house insurance. If you don't want to buy house insurance, you can rent instead.

That's one of the failures of our schools in this country. Ask any high school graduate what he knows about the stock market, the real estate market, bonds, the commodities market, operating your own business, and you will be met with a blank stare.

They don't teach these kids stuff like that because it could make them capitalists, and that's a no-no in a Democrat union school.

This is particularly true in lower income neighborhoods where kids are brought up in single-family households. They truly believe that you have to be born the right color, from the right neighborhood, with the right family name to have any chance as success in this country. Either that or be able to write a good rap song or be very athletic.
That shit is and always has been taught for the most part in college. And by thr fucking way there have been plenty of conservatives around since we started public schooling. Why did the conservatrives not change this? How many times have the republicans been in power since the ince[tion of public schools.

You're missing the key point which is driving is an option. What's the option if you can't afford healthcare insurance---kill yourself?

It's the same thing if you own a home. You can't get or continue a mortgage unless you have house insurance. If you don't want to buy house insurance, you can rent instead.
No criminal offense for not having house insurance and this is entered into contractually throught he note not as a law byt the government
