Over 100,000 Americans have now died from this pandemic- the most of any country in the world. More relevant is our per capita mortality rate- 30.69/100K- which means we are doing better than Sweden(41.44) but far worse than our neighbor Canada(18.55),- and three times worse than Germany(10.16) and some 60 times worse than South Korea.
There is no cultural reason why Canada and Germany should have lower per capita mortality rates than the United States- this is a result of a lack of national leadership by President Trump and his administration.
If the United States had the leadership of say Germany- the number of Americans dead from coronavirus would likely be in the range of 30-40,000- instead of 100,000.
This is what Trump should be measured by- this is what the voters need to remember in November- how many Americans needlessly died under Trump's watch.
Forget about all of Trump's pettiness, ignore his attempts to divert attention from the pandemic- and remember the thousands of dead Americans who died due to a lack of leadership by President Trump.
