Yes, if you can afford it they are out there. Using Registered Auto Sears manufactured and papered prior to the 1986 law that outlawed the further manufacture of machineguns. There was one dealer I know who manufactured something like 30,000 of the things.

If I'm wrong here then I welcome a link to information correcting my understanding, but the ATF considers the sear itself to be the machinegun; the sear is the serial-numbered part and thus legally the 'firearm'. If that's accurate, then unless modern sears are available for public purchase, then no, the public cannot buy modern machineguns.
