Okay, let's accept your numbers for the sake of argument. Can you please explain why the government wants citizens to be documented to prove they've had a vaccine? Regardless of how few fully vaxxed people succumb, it's still the case that they can carry and transmit the virus, right? This issue is more serious to me than the total number who are dying from it. The overall mortality rate has not increased since day one back in 2020. It began with fewer than 2% and if anything, Delta is less lethal. IF the vaccine does not guarantee to stop transmission or hospitalization then what possible benefit comes from forcing people to provide their "papers" if they want to move about freely?

The flip side to that is the huge increase in transmissibility with Delta. More deaths are occurring because the total number of infected is higher. The exact same demographic is dying. Immunocompromised, elderly, obese, and those with other pre-existing morbidities. Every death is a tragedy for some family and I don't make light of anyone's suffering but the idea that our government should be able to restrict our freedom of movement and association over such a virus is OUTRAGEOUS. Globally, fewer than 5 million have died from this virus. Many multiples of that number have died as a direct result of the economic devastation caused by our governments.

The "Great Influenza" of 1917-1920, approximately 2 1/2 years, spread around the globe and killed between 40-50 MILLION human beings. In the U.S. we lost about 675,000 dead during that period. The U.S. population at that time was about 104 million. That's 1/3 of the population today. Math isn't my strength but if the population was only 1/3 what it is now and the total dead is roughly the same then that would represent three times the number of dead from THAT virus and the extraordinary measures we're seeing around the world today never happened back then. LIFE WENT ON. That sounds harsh but it's true. Our management of this illness has made things FAR worse.

The MOST DANGEROUS aspect of all of this is the fact that the CCP intentionally spread this contagion around the globe. No one will ever be able to prove they manufactured it in a lab but that doesn't matter at all. They knew how deadly this thing was and they shut down Hubei province. They welded doors closed on housing to keep people from escaping and traveling to other provinces. At the same time, international flights from that area never slowed. Our government is acting as though there is no proof of any malicious intent and in so doing they are setting the stage for the CCP to do this again and the next pandemic may be as deadly as they've tried to scare us into believing THIS one to be. IMO, the CCP needs to pay for the damage they intentionally caused and they need to understand that if something like this happens again we will use weapons of mass destruction on them in return.
