3 out of Obamas 4 Secretaries of Defense Confirm O Military Policy Ran by Inexperienced Political Hacks
We can remember that the only reason we have Ashton Carter as our current Secretary of Defense is because everyone else he wanted turned him down. Carter wasn't 1st 2nd or 3rd on O's short list for Sec Def's but no one of merit trusted Obama enough to accept the job. They turned him down because Obama has surrounded himself by a bunch of inexperienced political hacks who know nothing about foreign policy. The videos demonstrates that Obama is not only a bad foreign policy manager, but the relatively inexperienced president has surrounded himself with foreign policy nobodies who have his ear. Think about this when you look at Iraq, Iran, Libya, Syria, Crimea, Ukraine, Cuba, Russia, ISIS, and every other Obama foreign policy disaster. He doesn't have the experts running the show. He doesn't trust his generals. He has a bunch of liberal academic egg heads with no tangible foreign policy experience running the show. See video below.
In 2008 the military voted to prevent Obama from becoming their new boss Military Times’ poll shows strong McCain backing. In 2012 they tried to fire their Commander in Chief MILITARY TIMES : R 66% O 26%... - NewsMilitary.com . Obama has earned the disdain the military has for him.
What has Obama done that was so wrong? Relatively speaking.
Removed Mubarak. Removed Qadaffi. Let Iraqi president push him around. Let Iran Ayatollah snooker him. Backed down to Assad and Putin. Let the chinks intimidate him. Failed the Kurds. Failed al Sisi. Fanatsizes an unprecedented coalition. Tangos like a white man....yo.
And how does that compare to the man he replaced?
No doubt Bush and his administration made some mistakes. But his staff was top notch and Obamas foreign policy staff are lacking in experience and credibility within their respected fields. In fact, no serious foreign policy or defense expert wants to work for him which is why he couldn't find the Sec Def of his choice. But your argument is fallacy from beginning to end. The lefts answer for Obamas incompetence is always "look at Bush" as if you could correct a wrong with a perceived wrong. Well we've had 8 years of both, and while Bush did an excellent job of mopping up much of his own mess Obama has taken any and all gains and oversaw the expansion of the largest terrorist network in world history. I suppose the best foreign policy question to ask is are we better/safer than we were 8 years ago? Hell no.
Bush's staff was top notch? are you insane? Bush and his staff collectively made the decision to invade Iraq, the single biggest foreign policy blunder since Vietnam.
Indeed they were. Bush's policy of regime change in Iraq was not only supported by Congress who gave him the authority, but also by the previous administration and their allies.
