There are a few easy fixes but nothing that will eliminate mass killings entirely, but even HALF of these things would be a good start.

Things I'd like to see that WILL save lives .. but some are negotiable

Mandatory

1. Eliminate online and gun show sales in all states between unlicensed private sellers both online and at gun shows without a background check (require universal checks both criminal AND mental - NO exceptions and 48 hour waiting period - 2-5 minutes doesn't cut it)
2. Outlaw bump stocks
3. Training and licensing on all concealed carry (now not required in over 20 states)
4. Tougher enforcement and stronger penalties for straw buyers
5. Provide law enforcement with the authority to separate a guy like Nikolas Cruz from his guns following umpteen reports and complaints requiring full mental evaluation and interview of complainants prior to their return
6. Better communication and databases linking local, state, federal, military etc agencies accessible by local law enforcement and gun sellers. *See UNREPORTED dishonorable discharge from the Air Force of Devin Patrick Kelly and Texas church shooting last November that left 26 people dead
7. No fly list = No buy .. PERIOD

Negotiable

1. Outlaw all magazines holding over 20 rounds
2. No sales of assault-style semi-auto rifles to anyone under the age of 25 and require mandatory training and licensing
