7 Reasons Why Liberals Are Incapable of Understannding the wotld

To understand American politics, you have to understand this fundamental law: Conservatives think liberals are stupid. Liberals think conservatives are evil.Charles Krauthammer

1) Liberalism creates a feedback loop. It is usually impossible for a non-liberal to change a liberal's mind about political issues because liberalism works like so: only liberals are credible sources of information. How do you know someone's liberal? He espouses liberal doctrine. So, no matter how plausible what you say may be, it will be ignored if you're not a liberal and if you are a liberal, of course, you probably agree with liberal views. This sort of close-mindedness makes liberals nearly impervious to any information that might undermine their beliefs.

2) Liberals sources of information are ever present. Conservatives are regularly exposed to the liberal viewpoint whether they want to be or not. That's not necessarily so for liberals. Imagine the average day for liberals. They get up and read their local newspaper. It has a liberal viewpoint. They take their kids to school, where the teachers are liberal. Then they go to work, listen to NPR which has a liberal viewpoint on the way home, and then turn on the nightly news which also skews leftward. From there, they turn on TV and watch shows created by liberals that lean to the left, if they have any political viewpoint at all. Unless liberals actively seek out conservative viewpoints, which is unlikely, the only conservative arguments they're probably going to hear are going to be through the heavily distorted, poorly translated, deeply skeptical lens of other liberals

3)Liberals emphasize feeling superior, not superior results.Liberalism is all about appearances, not outcomes. What matters to liberals is how a program makes them FEEL about themselves, not whether it works or not. Thus a program like Headstart, which sounds good because it's designed to help children read, makes liberals feel good about themselves, even though the program doesn't work and wastes billions

4) Liberals are big believers in moral relativism. This spins them round and round because if the only thing that's wrong is saying that there's an absolute moral code, then you lose your ability to tell cause from effect, good from bad, and right from wrong. Taking being non-judgmental to the level that liberals do leaves them paralyzed, pondering "why they hate us" because they feel incapable of saying, “That's wrong," and doing something about

5)Liberals tend to view people as parts of groups, not individuals. One of the prejudices of liberalism is that they see everyone as part of a group, not as an individual. This can lead to rather bizarre disparities when say, a man from a group that they consider to be powerless, impoverished victims becomes the leader of the free world -- and he's challenged by a group of lower middle class white people who've banded together because individually they're powerless.

6) Liberals take a dim view of personal responsibility. Who's at fault if a criminal commits a crime? The criminal or society? If someone creates a business and becomes a millionaire, is that the result of hard work and talent or luck? If you're dirt poor, starving, and haven't worked in 5 years, is that a personal failing or a failure of the state?

7) Liberals give themselves far too much credit just for being liberal.

.

Liberals don't like conservatives like you because you copy and paste and lie. Krauthammer didn't make that list of seven items according to your link. And liberals also find opinions like yours irrelevant. Just more methane-based rhetoric.

You truly are proving yourself to be one of the dumbest posters on this forum.

That's it?? Only "9 trillion" was spent during eight years? Or are you just dumber than most conservatives?

In reality, in nominal figures and through to the end of FY2016, the number is closer to $28 trillion, not "$9 trillion"...

Government Spending Chart: United States 2000-2017 - Federal State Local Data

$9 trillion is the that minus federal revenues received.

And then recall that Obama can only approve to spend the money Congress asks him to spend, and Republicans controlled the House of Representatives for ¾ of his presidency. Clearly, that is a shared responsibility.

OK 28 trillion dollars what did you get out of it?
Over that period...

My household income is up about 135%.
The value of home is up about 60%.
The valuation of my and my wife's 401K is up some 200%.

I ain't complaining.

And are you still going to let Obama take credit for the sequester?
Ah, yes, the sequester.

Both parties blamed the other for the implementation of the sequester, which resulted as a failure to pass a budget -- and then both parties took credit for the drop in the deficit which resulted from it.

.

You mean getting US revenues back to where Carter had them before Ronnie? You know 19.6%-20% of GDP??

The revenues all came from capital gains taxes which ballooned during the tech bubble. Of course, they also collapsed when the tech bubble collapsed.

LMAOROG, Sure Bubs, sure, keep "believing"

Source of Revenue as Share of GDP

How does that chart prove me wrong? It doesn't break out capital gains as a separate category.

You sure have trouble with the logic thing, don't you?

Note it going up BEFORE capital gains tax cuts dummy? You know the one where Newt took credit for the surplus AS the deficit was coming down??

In 1993, Bill Clinton undid some of the Reagan tax cuts for the wealthy, in a bill that every Republican in Congress opposed. In the years that followed, federal revenues shot up. By 1996, the deficit had fallen by more than half from its 1993 level. But cautious official congressional prognosticators thought that this happy trend was unlikely to continue

So, in January of 1997, the Congressional Budget Office predicted a budget deficit of $124 billion in the fiscal year that ran from October 1996 to September 1997, with little relief thereafter. That was the deficit situation that Congress thought it faced when it enacted the Balanced Budget Act in August 1997.

But CBO's crystal ball was faulty. Because the economy and tax revenues continued to grow rapidly, the actual fiscal 1997 deficit turned out to be a mere $22 billion. Of course, that virtually balanced 1997 budget had no connection to the budget act, which wasn't enacted until the fiscal year was almost over.

In the years that followed, federal revenues shot up. By 1996,

NOT Bin Laden dumb*ss, and it happened under Clinton AND WE LOCKED UP THE GUYS!

The 1993 World Trade Center bombing was a terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, carried out on February 26, 1993, when a truck bomb detonated below the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City.

The attack was planned by a group of terrorists including Ramzi Yousef, Mahmud Abouhalima, Mohammad Salameh, Nidal A. Ayyad, Abdul Rahman Yasin, and Ahmed Ajaj. They received financing from Khaled Sheikh Mohammed, Yousef's uncle. In March 1994, four men were convicted of carrying out the bombing: Abouhalima, Ajaj, Ayyad, and Salameh. The charges included conspiracy, explosive destruction of property, and interstate transportation of explosives. In November 1997, two more were convicted: Ramzi Yousef, the mastermind behind the bombings, and Eyad Ismoil, who drove the truck carrying the bomb.

So you are a hedge fund manager good for you.

So why you bitching at Trump by playing and beating the tax laws?

.
Leave it to a moron to complain that folks bitch about a man bragging he's worth some $10 trillion and doesn't pay taxes.

This is so true about liberals

Again what lie? Read this entire thread then call me.

.

Calling you....a liar. Krauthammer didn't write that list.
This is the entire content of the link:
"1) To understand the workings of American politics, you have to understand this fundamental law: Conservatives think liberals are stupid. Liberals think conservatives are evil. — Charles Krauthammer""

IF conservatives are so fucking right, why do you have to twist and spin?

Again read the list and this thread

You are 6 and 7 in my OP don't deny it

What he did was spend less than he took in

Clinton always demanded more spending that what Congress had agreed to.

Yet Clinton had 4 surpluses, 3 surpluses after vetoing the GOP's $792+ billion tax cut from Newt. Go figure THEN we saw what "fiscal conservatives" were about when Dubya/GOP "job creator" policies were enacted right??? LOL

Repeat after me Clinton handed Bush Jr a mini recession and 9/11 happened

.

According to the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), which is the private, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization charged with determining economic recessions, the U.S. economy was in recession from March 2001 to November 2001, a period of eight months at the beginning of President George W. Bush's term of office. However, economic conditions did not satisfy the common shorthand definition of recession, which is "a fall of a country's real gross domestic product in two or more successive quarters," and has led to some confusion about the procedure for determining the starting and ending dates of a recession.

9/11? Oh right when Dubya was focusing on Iraq and ignoring the warnings from Clinton/Intel agencies

‘The Attacks Will Be Spectacular’
An exclusive look at how the Bush administration ignored this warning from the CIA months before 9/11, along with others that were far more detailed than previously revealed.

Bill had bin laden yet let him go

Hell Hillary had him too, if she only would of killed him with her blackberry at the time....

Bill let him go? Let's pretend for a moment that he did....

Bin Laden wasn't flying a plane. 9.11 wasn't even his idea. Even had he been apprehended or killed, there's no indication the terrorists would have folded and not attacked us on 9.11.

Again from 1776 to 1990

We went through the revolution war, the war of 1812, the civil war, WWI, WWII, the Korean war, the Vietnam war , put a man on the moon and the cold war..

We didn't spend 9 trillion dollars..

Obama spent 9 trillion dollars in just 8 years .

.

I'll save him the trouble.... bear513 claims Obama was president since at least 2005, gave money to influence an election in Israel he knew nothing about, and spent only $9 trillion in 8 years.

Now WaitingFor2020's all caught up in 5 seconds.
