Sweetheart, sad that you can't find compassion for those that are representing our country, and due to pretty much no fault of their own they end up being killed. If they had had the security they needed and had asked for,and had the compound secured as a permanent compound has to be, it is very possible they would still be alive today. If the STate Dept. had taken into consideration the fact the Brits Ambassador had already had a recent attempt on his life, they had pulled out, the Red Cross, and the UN had pulled out, and 2 IED's had already hit the place, one of which blew a big hole in the wall there; and there were over 200 other such incidents in the last few months; and the Ambassador, as well as the regional head of security had been telling them things were bad and they had listened; it was 9/11, a symbolic day for the extremists; and there had been recent threats due to our getting the 2nd in line of al queda recently, rather than deny and reduce the security there, they just might have not been killed.

And then they went on to blame it on a video for days, commended the second in line as Ambassador there, then when he asked too many question he was suddenly demoted.

No, things were not peachy there, and if they had their departments running as they should have been, they would have been aware how horrific it actually was, nor should anyone have tried to paint that picture it was just because of a video.

Failure to protect our citizens assigned to dangerous posts IS a derilection of duty. A crime.

Since the consulate and the CIA facility no longer existed, there IS no need to deny it. It isn't like Americans don't know that we run covert operations.

What tactical purpose is there to order rescue and/or recovery units from going into a hot spot during or after the attack?

Please don't give Me the Administration lie about there not being enough time. Unless they knew ahead of time how long the attack was going to last, (Wouldn't that be an interesting revelation, and would you then continue to defend this administration?) there was no reason to order a stand down for any of the assets within reach.

Mr. Hicks and his staff managed to get into Benghazi almost before the fighting ended.
