A Female President {KING}

I'd vote for a Margaret Thatcher but not a Hillary Clinton.

How will having a female president effect us internationally and in foreign policy? All of the world may not respect men who have a woman as their leader.

What do you think?

Well for one, is there anyone here among us that can name a single foreign policy accomplishment of Hillary Clinton.

....................................

She produced a big red Reset button....which told Putin he was dealing with a set of clowns he could own.

Indeed, a return to Kennedy/Carter Foreign policy.

Be advised, the topic isn't about JUST Hillary, but ANY female candidate who may end up as POTUS.

Palin, Ferraro, etc...

Also, how will this effect us in terms of cooperation with countries that may see this as disrespect?

Saudi Arabia, China, etc...where there are customs and traditions that demand certain things when dealing with a woman...

They had no problems dealing with Thacher, did you complete above the third grade?

I don't care for Clinton, but I don't see her as being any less qualified than most modern presidents, short of Bush Sr. As far as a female leader, it has been successfully tried in plenty of countries in the past. There is no reason that alone would make a country look weak.

She isn't any less qualified that our current president, that's for sure.

Been pleanty of female heads-of-state. I'm more interested in how a female US President's husband will be referred to. Talk about getting emasculated. "Ladies and gentleman, the President of the United States and First Husband..." :) The late night guys are gonna have a field day. :)

Depends on who the female head of government is. Mrs Margaret Thatcher much improved Britain's positions internationally and , if I remember aright, Mrs Golda Meir did the same for Israel.

On the other had Mrs Thorning Schmidt, PM of Denmark, is thought by most of her country's voters to be useless internationally for anything except getting Mr Obama and Mr Cameron to pose in her selfie.

While I don't care for Obama of Clinton, we really haven't a very qualified president in a long time. In fairness, not much can prepare you for that job. The reason I mentioned Bush Sr. is because he was at least a congressman, director of the CIA, and vice-president before being elected president. Nobody else's qualifications in recent years quite stack up to that.

That recession he inherited certainly didn't LOOK prosperous...
The one in 2000 didn't either. Despite an attack that cost us 1 trillion dollars, it did not take 6 years to recover from that.

Prosperity is about right. Had he not been elected, we'd not have a need for a debate on yet again extending Unemployment Benefits.

In truth, having served in Federal Government should be a dis-qualifier.

I couldn't care less if the President is Male, Female, White, Black, Hispanic, Oriental, etc...

I do care what policies they espouse and what direction they are planning to take the Country.

Obama has done damned few things that I agree with.... And I wouldn't care if it were a White Man doing those things, I still wouldn't agree with them.

Never seemed to be a problem for Margaret Thatcher when she was British Prime Minister of course how effective you are depends on the image you project to the world.

Previous female heads of state like Benizer Bhutto, Golda Meir, Indira Ghandi did well and current ones like Angela Merkel seem to be doing OK.

So the far left is going to vote for Hilary simple because they want to see a woman president.

You would think they would have learned their lesson from doing something similar with Obama.

Then again the far left believed they had a choice between Clinton and Obama in the 2008 primaries.
