A Question For The Left Wingers On This Forum

When you hear that there are militant Lefties on social media talking about burning down your local mall while you're locked down due to a virus with a .00001% mortality rate, and you see the corporate media lying straight up to you about the violence in the streets - well, not only do you suddenly get a striking appreciation for the second amendment; but you'd have to be brain dead stupid to not renounce the Democrat Party forever.

The only people left are either morons, partisan hacks, or both.

If some random dipshit on an anonymous website wants to claim I'm not what I say I am - while waxing poetic about "Russian trolls" - that says more about him at this point than it does little ole' moi.

Dude's stuck in 2016, never got the memo. Feel sorry for 'em.

I think liberalism stems from youth. People that gave their children everything they wanted grew up with the entitled mentality, and it carries through their adult lives unless in cases (I'm sure) like ours, we find the truth.

When I was young I was a liberal and registered as a Democrat voter. I had long hair, bell bottomed jeans, army jacket, smoked pot, at the time Reagan re-instituted signing up for the draft, referred to cops as pigs, I played lead guitar in bands.

When I got out into the working world and seen the taxes extracted from my paycheck, I just assumed government was doing good things with my money. In my mid 20's I started to follow politics a little more and realized how wrong I was.

By the time I got in my early 30's, I discovered Rush Limbaugh and gave up my rock-n-roll radio stations to listen to him for the three hours per day he was on. It was the birth of my conservatism.

Don't get me wrong, I was not raised with the entitlement mentality. My parents never gave me a dime I didn't work for. But as they say, as you age you become your father and my views did a total 180.

Without sarcasm:

When was the last time any of you changed your mind concerning anything pertaining to Trump, or even just politics in general?

I am beginning to run into a brick wall on here where I realize none of you are interested in the truth, only playing for Team Blue.

Is this altogether surprising? Not remotely. But usually there are a few more reasonable ones in the bunch of any group. After a few months on this forum, I am not discovering that here in any capacity whatsoever.

Is the Right guilty of the same? Yes, of course, and perhaps more frequently than I would like to admit. But it still pales in comparison to the New Left.

Full disclosure for context: I used to be a Democrat up until March 2020, although I began drifting away during the Trump Presidency when I saw how insane my former Party became. How one man could drive them to abandon all the principles they supposedly believe in. Trump really lifted the veil from my eyes. Whatever you think of his personality - he definitively exposed the collusion between the corporate media, the intelligence agencies and the Democratic Party.

And then the riots and lockdowns came. And I saw tangible undeniable evidence that the very Party accusing the Right of authoritarianism were guilty of the very accusations they let fly. I could not, with all good conscience, continue to support them. Esp. when Trump began supporting things in both foreign and domestic policy that the Left once (apparently) pretended to believe in.

Do not believe in stupid wars? In 2008 you were a Democrat. Now you're a Republican.

Want to stop sending jobs overseas? In 2008 you were a Democrat, now you're a Republican.

Want higher wages for the middle class? Trump pulled it off, Obama failed.

I'm so tired of people just looking at D and R without acknowledging that they are simply labels, and political parties are fluid and inevitably always change.

I still hate Bush and Cheney. And I could swear the new MAGA Party (for the most part) now hates them more than the Democrats.

I didn't change, my Party did.

Fortunately the Republican party did as well.

OK, off the soapbox.

Yeah BDTex, this post is fucking hilarious.

Do you also look up other people's posts from over a year ago, in some cases years, to post laugh emojis with no substantive response?

Fucking creepy dude.

This must be the fifteenth time you've done it.

I wonder if you're doing it to anyone else.

Not sure if that would be better or worse.

Life choices.

You idiots never learn the most basic of facts. There was a tax cut for the middle class in Obama’s stimulus package. There were also taxes cut for small business owners. He also passed new laws surrounding overtime pay.

The “rioters” were all just random black people pissed off at police brutality. That’s it. That’s all they were. They probably didn’t even vote. Of course good luck explaining to you that 90% of the protests were peaceful.

Let me also tell you the most important point of all: even if I was going to walk away from democrats, I would be a FUCKING MORON to support Trump instead. You do get that right, idiot? If you don’t like democrats it doesn’t somehow mean you must like Trump. DERP!
