A question for those that support Obamacare?

What honestly would you do in this circumstance?

  • Keep your "liked" computer and pay the IRS penalty?

    Votes: 3 100.0%
  • Buy the new mandated computer--that you don't want or need?

Yeah. Let's talk about the disturbing similarities between government forcing us to join a state approved religion, and government forcing us to subscribe to state approved insurance corporations.

Yeah . . . or . . . or. . . . government forcing us to pay . . . . TAXES!

Taxes are fundamentally different because they directly fund our government, an institution nominally controlled by, and dedicated to the welfare of, those paying the taxes. That's why we grant government the power to levy and collect taxes. We don't grant that power to corporations, however, because they have their own goals and priorities and aren't under control of voters. That they have acquired such power, via abominations like ACA, is an utter failure of our society.

It seems to me that affordable health care for everyone has a lot to do with the welfare of our citizens.

It seems to me you missed my point entirely. Do you understand the difference between corporations and government?

Answer?

Let's see......the first amendment bars a state established religion and the SCOTUS has found Obamacare to be constitutional

Sound like you are desperate to me....want to talk?

Yeah. Let's talk about the disturbing similarities between government forcing us to join a state approved religion, and government forcing us to subscribe to state approved insurance corporations. Let's talk about how crony capitalism, backed by coercive state mandates, is every bit as wrong as theocracy. Or you can just ostrich up and pretend you don't see anything.

Actually, there are no similarities

A state sponsored religion is unconstitutional and Obamacare was enacted by a constitutionally elected government

Obamacare WAS considered unconstitutional until the SC said it was considered a TAX and not a Penalty. A Penalty is unconsititutional, a tax isn't. And Obama said he would never raise our taxes one penny. Hmmmmmmmm......seems he lied again. Because he's a constitutional scholar, he should have known this from the beginning.

It has to do with the welfare of only SOME of our citizens. The rest of us get penalized.

Obamacare is nothing more than a sucker punch to middle class working Americans. They were lied too--and when it starts up again--(after the mid-term election cycle) they'll be lied too again. It's wealth redistribution via health care. Only this time it's not the rich that will be paying for all the new free (Medicaid and lower income subsidized polices)--it's a slam dunk on the middle class--who are being forced into policies that are double to sometimes even triple to what they were paying.

It's not if Obamacare will effect you--it's when. Obama has been frantically extending deadlines and postponing the employer mandate to now start after the mid-term election cycle--to try and save Democrats running for re-election this year from looking like the 7th Calvary charge at the Little Bighorn--lead by Colonel Custer.
