Yes raising a family is work which explains why many young couples are thinking it's hard to carry on a career full time and raise a family as well. And they have a valid point.

Too many young people these days have been raised to believe in their bones that their own personal gratification supersedes all else. Previous generations were raised to keep in mind that there are things bigger and more important than themselves. Children bring that lesson home more than anything else.
