Anyone that claims to be against abortion yet makes it harder to get birth control is lying about being against abortion.

That is all there is too it.
It is amazing, but that is how they think! Sometimes I wonder how they manage to dress themselves w/o help.

It is because ideology and toeing the party line trump all else.

politically speaking I am almost always against the government being involved in such things. But my views on abortion outweigh my views on limited government. For the sake of having fewer abortions I would favor the government handing out BC to everyone for free. The money saved in social services would cover the cost with some left over

I would totally support free (taxpayer funded) birth control on demand, so long as it is tied to a ban on elective abortions.
Pennsylvania Rep. Tim Murphy has resigned after a report surfaced earlier this week that he had asked an extramarital lover to end her pregnancy.

Murphy, a Republican who co-sponsored a 20-week abortion ban that passed in the House Tuesday, allegedly asked his lover to terminate her pregnancy, according to text message records acquired by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Anti-abortion Rep. Tim Murphy resigns after report he asked lover to end pregnancy

I guess the house decides when life starts, the white conservative male, like Murphy.

What the fuck does have to do with me or my post?

anything other than when an ectopic pregnancy occurs & an abortion must be performed i would think.

Supports my theory that Jesus Nazis want to prevent, eliminate, regulate, punish and/or outlaw pre-marital sex (fornication).

Jesus said not to fuck (allegedly), so they must make it the law.

Yes, you do Jesus Nazis. Admit it.

That would be the perfect scenario, but I will not let perfect be the enemy of good. If free BC to all cut abortions by 20% that would be 200,000ish less abortions per year. That sounds like a win.

I am not willing to make compromises with the Constitutional rights of anyone. Either we are all equally entitled to the EQUAL protections of our laws, or we are not. Deciding that one group of human beings (prenatal children) have no rights because that would be a huge inconvenience to others is unacceptable to me.

It is unacceptable to me to me as well, but it is the reality we live in. If I have to choose between either all or nothing or a solution that reduces the number done each year, I will go with the latter.

I see, so it's "unacceptable" to you but you accept it anyway.

Yeah. That makes sense.

Nonsense.

The right to privacy prohibits government from interfering with personal decisions, such as whether to have a child or not – and forbids government from denying citizens access to the means by which to realize that decision.

Since when does the right to privacy give anyone the right to violate the rights of a child?

Pornographers and molesters other than pro-aborts may want to know.

Harder to get birth control? What freaking planet are pro abortionists living on? A freaking pop girl rock group used to pin condoms on themselves. The late great liberal education system taught generations of kids how to put a freaking condom on a banana but not much else.

But you are willing to violate the privacy rights of women, likewise violating the Constitution.

And it is a settled, accepted fact of Constitutional law – beyond dispute – that prior to birth an embryo/fetus has no Constitutional rights, where prior to birth the rights of the woman are paramount, as it should be.

Fortunately, whether that’s acceptable to you and other authoritarian rightists is legally and Constitutionally irrelevant.

Your claim that it is settled law doesn't amount to a gnats fart in a level 5 Hurricane.

The First Amendment places no limits on the number of times the Government can be petitioned for a redress of grievances. A fucktard who uses an image of the Bill of Rights as their avatar should be aware of that.

Perhaps we should decide a system where only people making 6 figures can have children....or mandatory birth control for the masses...etc. I know....it's sarcasm. But all pro lifers are in favor of birth control and contraceptives.....the right is who pays for them. Encouraging young working married people not to have kids might be a good idea as well.
