“HUD expects that fear of the family being separated would lead to prompt evacuation by most mixed households,” the agency’s analysis said. “Temporary homelessness could arise for a household, if they are unable to find alternative housing.”

Could be. But on the other hand, I understand these people are such hard workers. What do they need HUD for in the first place? If they work so hard and such long hours, they should be able to afford housing without taxpayer assistance.

I see a problem though. Years ago my city decided to have intrusive apartment inspections. On the application, you had to list the names of everybody living in the household. The ACLU came along and threatened to sue the city because they are not allowed to ask the names of the children. Til this day I don't understand why, or what was illegal about it, but our city didn't challenge the ACLU. They just changed the application to list the names of the adults only.
